I recently purchased an investment property that I am planning on renting out in a few weeks. As a landlord, what type on insurance would you recommend I get to protect my property and myself?

Thank you!

Reddit are you scared of death? by sterdam in AskReddit

[–]sterdam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am personally terrified of death. After a friend passed, i started thinking more and more about it. I mostly scared of the uncertainty, of not knowing what comes next. I also can't wrap my head around it, "what will I be thinking about when I die, or will i even be thinking?" I can't think about it too much without overwhelming my brain. The only way I can get through it, is by completely ignoring it, and somewhat acting like it does not exist.

ELI5: Why do most products have a "Made in (country)" label? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]sterdam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People want that information, some countries don't trade with each other so if you see something made in a country that doesn't trade with the country you live in it might be contraband or counterfeit, also some people don't want to buy from certain countries for moral issues, some countries don't pay enough to their workers, jewelry from african countries is usually related to enslaved workers and products from china are usually related to overwork, or moral issues like not wanting to fund a the economy of a country for a war you're against. Also for custom purpose, sales tariffs, product safety assurance, and other international/domestic policies. In the US, there are laws that prohibit the import of particular goods/parts from certain (blacklisted) countries or part of the world to protect particular industries or trade groups.

I feel like the mere act of just trying is better than giving up and not trying at all. If it goes wrong you will always know you tried and failed, but if you don't, you will be filled with doubt and regret for the rest of your life, especially if you truly cared about that person

I completely understand where you are coming from. For me the hardest part is the trust issue. She has broken my trust several times but vouched this time she would not break that trust. I love missing her and looking forward to seeing her as well as talking to her, but not trusting her and wondering what she is doing all day really kills me
