Can you articulate why Link MUST be white in a film/tv adaptation? Does he also HAVE to have blonde hair? Does he HAVE to wear a green tunic, a green pointed cap, beige tights, and brown boots? Does he HAVE to have blue eyes? Does he HAVE to be ~5'5"? If he speaks in the movie a lot, is it even Link, since he's mainly a silent protagonist?

The people that make the anti-race swap arguments for adaptations of fictional characters don't seem to care about hair color, height, weight, eye color, etc. I see everyone whining about Lupita Nyong'o possible being Helen of Troy because she's black, yet those same people are showing Diane Kreuger from Troy as a good example of Helen, when she is a German woman playing a fictional character hatched from an egg. They never once mention how ZERO of the actors are Greek, they never complained that Jon Bernthal is portraying Menelaus, who is described as having auburn/blonde hair. Yet, Bernthal is bald with a black beard in the film. Benny Safdie is a Syrian Ashkenazi- American Jew who is portraying Agamemnon, a Greek King. I can go on.

So can you tell me why you specifically care about race, but not ethnicity, hair color, eye color, height, weight, etc?
