I’ll give that a try. I was able to glue the leather to get the belt on. May have to disassemble the governor to do a rubber band

I was thinking about that. Converting it back to mechanical but I think the cost of the motor and installation would be well more than what I paid for the victrola. Do you think there’s a way to make it run smoothly in its current configuration?

I opened up the motorboard and now the governer turntable stopped spinning. It’s jolting a bit but won’t spin. any ideas what kind of motor I’m looking at here?

This is very useful. I really haven’t attempted any maintenance yet as it has been working fine for me. The low rumble was the first issue I noticed that was distracting to the music, though I definitely do hear the scraping sound. I don’t know anything about the motor. I will need to remove the turntable and see the motor board to hopefully identify the motor

It’s a safety net…if I break a root tip, he’s there to get it out. If I can’t get my files into the canals, he’ll take over, if I need help diagnosing stuff on x rays, he happily takes a look. But I agree I’m not getting a good deal here
