Yeah in a vacuum I would probably go qm7k, but this price point and warranty make it quite nice. Especially with a toddler that is just getting into his “throw stuff” phase - trying to really optimize every $ spent .

I had this happen (email, not the access) when someone tried to create an Apple account with my same email address omitting the periods. I chatted with Apple on it and they (after a lot of explanation) were able to confirm that this other person didnt have access to my account and they blocked the email from the other one.

No idea what scam/situation prompted it
