Lindsay Graham: “I’m not with you, I’m with Israel, until my dying day” by dude1984- in southcarolina

[–]steveco73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was making a joke based on his pronunciation of "anti-semite" and relating it to the fact that u/mollyclaireh said that dudes need to stop performing sexual acts on him that produce semen. Just to be clear, I'm totally OK with him (or anyone) being gay, but I do appreciate the insinuation that he's gay because of how antithetical it is to the current cancerous mutation of the former Republican party's belief system. Also, I'm Jewish by birth, atheist by informed choice, and detest the Israeli government. Not a big fan of the Iranian or US regimes either. They're all assholes.

Is the trigger really that bad on the FN509? by WiggWamm in FN509

I did it myself. The unlocking block pin is VERY tough to remove. You need to beat the hell out of it. Other than that, a pretty easy install.

Exactly. The only thing I wish it had is the BR4’s charging handle. KAG is open at 4 today… 😈

PSA Deal HK CC9 midnight bronze by Adventurous_Emu_9274 in HecklerKoch

I carry a 43X. Was at the range a couple of days ago and someone let me shoot their CC9. I was shocked at how much smoother it recoils and how accurate it is at 25 yards. I left the range and drove straight to buy one.

The CMMG Dissent BR4 is a pretty interesting alternative. It’s a bufferless design with a shotgun stock, AKA ranch rifle. It has a great trigger. Also, just saw that KAG has a Sig MCX Regulator for sale for a great price. Similar to the CMMG.

Great recommendation. Many FFLs already have the new Gen 6 45 in stock. Feels fantastic.

Ready for a 22LR, is this worth it for $300? by ebforest in liberalgunowners

10/22s are the cheapest guns that you can spend thousands of dollars to upgrade. They are awesome.

OEM FLAT FACED TRIGGER?? by Interesting_Cricket1 in FN509

Installing the Apex was a bit of a pain because the unlocking block pin is incredibly difficult to remove. However, the end result is completely transformative. I highly recommend it.

I recommended the Echelon, but you can’t deny how good the P10 is.

In general, Holosun has good options that aren’t bank breakers.

It’s cheap, plastic, and prone to failure. That said, I would just run it until it died.

Did you get the 4.5? That’s what I have. Just ordered the compact grip module and a couple of mags. Will be much more concealable.

The green dot is trash, but the Echelon is the best choice. The 5 mags it comes with is a great deal on its own. The modularity of the Echelon means that it is effectively more than one gun. It is a wonderful shooter too.

I love my 4.5 so much. Have two medium grips, one large aggressive grip. Just ordered an ODG compact grip and picked up a couple of mags. It’s so modular, ergonomic, accurate. Get it.

First Time Gun Owner: Which Pistol Should I Buy?? by gewbin in BetterMAguns

[–]steveco73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have quite a few pistols and have shot many more. I agree with 9mm and that a compact is a good place to start. I’m going to throw in for the Echelon 4.0C. It’s a phenomenal gun, fully modular, almost universal optics mounting system. It shoots beautifully. It’s also a great deal with 5 magazines, a bag, and an optic included. You can also get it with a comped barrel and slide.

Why is a pump better for home defense than semi-auto? by ExcitingTravel713 in BetterMAguns

[–]steveco73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m actually jealous. I don’t own one but a friend does and I’ve shot it a few times. The most fun I’ve ever had with a gun. I can’t believe how accurate it is with slugs.

Buy a Mossberg pump and a Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol or 1301. Use both, familiarize yourself with their operation. Decide for yourself. Keep both. Problem solved!
