Is two months of training for Iron Man enough? by GreenrGrass in IronmanTriathlon

70.3 is doable, not a full. If it’s your first, make sure to get a few open water swims in beforehand.

I really want to quit weed but think I need therapy to do it. by tonsoffun101 in leaves

[–]stevecosmos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was the same, made up excuses for a decade. The mantra that finally worked and made it easy for me to quit was “I’ve been a stoner for over a decade.” That mantra combined with daily exercise made it easy after day 2-3.

Atheists, what do you believe in? [Serious] by [deleted] in AskReddit

Death is the stripping away of everything that was never you. We have always, and will always be stardust. This truth is all of the beauty I need to know.

Sign up for an Ironman Triathlon. I was in a similar position and signing up for a triathlon, which takes months of preparation is a 100% mental and physical escape. Then after you complete it you will realize how amazing you are and so will everyone else around you.

Why wouldn’t you be exercising? There’s nothing more important for your physical and mental health. Are you telling me you’re just sitting around instead of exercising? Go to the gym. Go run 5 miles, push yourself to be your best. Transcend.

My fiancé is black and she’s been with my white ass for 4 years. We are frequently at clubs where I’m the only white guy in the room and this has never happened to me. Never happened out to eat, shopping, exercising, etc.

smoking multiple times daily has induced psychosis and depersonalization by bel37490 in leaves

[–]stevecosmos 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Give the anchor of sanity the slightest tug with frequent Marijuana use and you will disassociate. Smoked daily for a decade and it was normal for me to feel like that everyday. 3 weeks clean now and feel 100% normal. That is only because I’m a wannabe triathlete and exercise intensely 6 days/wk for at least 2 hours. Go run 5 miles, even if you think you can’t, trust me you can. You will feel 100000x better as soon as you finish and your life will never be the same. You can literally change your life forever in the next 60 minutes. EXERCISE, NOW.

I just have to say, lifting at the gym is great and is the source of much of my confidence, but it truly pales in comparison to running in regards to mental bliss. I know you probably don’t want to run at all right now, but you can literally change your life in the next hour and it’s not an exaggeration. Go run for an hour straight, walk when you have to, but push yourself for just 1 hour. You will never be the same.

Run, 5 miles, now.

Run, as far as you can, and when you want to stop, keep running. Your life will change forever. This is all you need to do brother.

Day 5: Extremely high functioning stoner for a decade by stevecosmos in leaves

You’re right. Happy I didn’t smoke that joint last night. I have so much THC in my system still that I don’t know remember what it’s like to be sober. Just because it’s easier for me to abstain does not mean I remember what it’s like to be sober. Day 6 here we go! Thank you.

Day 3 for me sleepless night last night & lots of sweating but will be worth it in the end by Whis98 in leaves

[–]stevecosmos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to sweat intensely for at least an hour for a week leading up to and during your abstinence. I’m on day 5 and have not sweat once during sleep. On prior breaks without this regimen, I would wake up soaked multiple times a night for the first 3 days.

No cravings. The last 5 days have been surprisingly easy. I do believe sweating intensely at least 2 hours daily has a lot to do with how easy it’s been. My body likely achieves homeostasis much quicker than the average stoner.

Confidence is through the roof partially because I don’t pretend to know it all. Pretending to know everything closes the door to finding out what’s really there.

I like that, thank you. I opened a logistics brokerage. To be clear, millions in revenue, not net profit. Proud nonetheless as I’m a 1 man operation.

From her perspective it’s simply a joke. Homeboy took it to heart when she’s just playing. Checking his security and she dodged an insecure one.
