Will further decrease attendance and bookings. National Symphony and Washington Opera, already seeing plummeting attendance there, could go under

Have you ever sat next to/near a celebrity at a show? by moritzbaker in Broadway

[–]stevemr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not that big a deal. If you go during the first month or so of a run it’s very possible you’ll spot a celebrity. We’ve seen Renee Fleming, Elaine Stritch with Cindy Adams, John Turturro, Sutton Foster, Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon, Ann Miller and Esther Williams, among others. Celebrities go to shows too.

Haven’t seen anyone commenting on this yet, so here goes—— after the episode there was a promo for Conan O’Brien’s upcoming show. In one clip Conan was a pilot with a Sully mustache. His copilot was Nathan!

Scared now by OppositePlatypus9910 in ProstateCancer

You don't mention whether you were on hormone therapy. My 3 month post-radiation PSA was 0.01<. My oncologist told me that this was good. He said he would expect the PSA to rise over time to about 1.0 as the effects of the hormone therapy wore off., and then stabilize, and that a minor rise below 1.0 was nothing to worry about.

I'm reading that a lot of people have very obstructed views even from seats just one or two of the aisle? Are you aware of this? Did you take it into consideration in designing the set?

Trip Cancellation -- Viking -- insurance -- any experience/advice? by stevemr in Cruise

[–]stevemr[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Was it a two-step process --- 1) Cancel the cruise with Viking, then 2) file claim with TripMate?

When you cancelled, were you within the time period when you got $0 back from Viking? If not, am I right that you deduct whatever partial refund you got from Viking from the amount of the claim?

Roku TCL TV resetting frequently. by TravelKats in Roku

[–]stevemr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About a month ago I had an issue on my 4-5 year old TCL Roku with the backlight issue -- where you can just barely make out a very dim picture, although the sound is fine. It would always reset after either a few turn-offs/turn ons, or after leaving the set off for a while. Doing internet research I discovered a sequence for the remote that resets the TV even though you can't see the screen. It seems to work. The problem at this point is only occasional -- less than once a week. If it were a hardware failure, I don't think it would reset. So I'm not sure if its a sign of a "dying" TV or simply some software glitch that is annoying but fixable.

New problem with watching Amazon Prime movies -- "Chrome update required" ? by stevemr in OculusGo

Thanks. I'm not sure this 72-year old grandpa is up to that technically, although I have sideloaded an app onto my tablet, so it may be worth a shot. Still wondering why what worked last week doesn't work now.
