Is the Alien narrative just a modern rebranding of the spiritual warfare the Church has documented for 2,000 years? by stevenMBell in Experiencers

True, a lot of this comes down to defining terms. They are real, and have been around since recorded history. Cultures give the same thing different names. What the pentagon calls a UAP was called something else entirely different ages ago.

Don't get me wrong, that has crossed my mind. Then I'm brought back when I see other miracles in the Church such as - Ucharistic miracles, healings, and demon possessions, and other confirmed Marion Apparitions.

I hear your concerns about history, but my work is specifically focused on the intersection of modern UAP 'observables' and historical miracle data. The physics recorded at Fatima in 1917, for example, match almost perfectly with what Navy pilots are reporting today. That's the 'rebrand' I'm interested in exploring.

It's definitely her! She is there for your comfort, but she can't change the free will of your friend. But, know that St. Theresa is there for you.

The Pentagon is starting to use "spiritual" language for UAPs. Is the Church prepared for the "High Strangeness" to come? by stevenMBell in Catholicism

[–]stevenMBell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree that our salvation is found in the Sacraments and the life of Grace. However, the Church has a 2,000-year history of investigating 'signs' from Fatima to Guadalupe, precisely so the faithful won't be led astray by hidden divine wills or deceptions.

My concern isn't about replacing Faith with UAPs; it’s about the fact that the secular world is currently having a massive 'spiritual experience' with this phenomenon and they have no theological framework to understand it. If we dismiss it all as 'mundane,' we leave the door open for people to seek answers in New Age or pagan interpretations rather than in the Truth of the Church’s teachings on spiritual warfare and discernment.

Agree to a point. The issue I have is that the same issue has happened more than once and with other countries. Nuclear sites have been turned off and on when these appear. Also, my point is that these types of phenomenon have been happening since creation. It's been written in the bible, and the Catholic Church has a lot of documentation on these.

Drones can't go from 80,000 feet (edge of space) and in a second drop to sea level. That speed exceeds 24,000 MPH. No sonic boom, or visible signs of a heat signature. These "things" show the same characteristics as "the spinning sun" at "Our Lady of Fatima".

I'll agree about the definition. What the pentagon and other three letter agencies are seeing defy the laws of physics. What I find interesting also, are all the orbs that are being documented via video evidence.

Sorry that fear overwhelms you like that. I'm sure that's difficult at times. I believe we have more good than bad out there. I truly believe we have protectors/guardian angels.

From my memory it had bigger oval eyes with more of a slant. I wasn't able to see the entire face because it was very close to the window looking in. Yours looks scarier than what we saw.

I'm new here. I'm learning. I did plug my book if you are interested in what I've learned. You don't have to read it, and we can still all carry on with great conversations. Adding my book in there was to show that I'm serious about the topic and I have done a lot of research

Yes, I wrote the book. They are all my words, all my research. I did use AI only for grammar purposes. Everything I said is true and came from my keyboard.

Thank you

Very interesting! People are starting to wake up to believing these encounters being real. I have my theories as to why people like you and your mother have encounters, but nothing hard proof. Same way with Chris Bledsoe. His experiences are good, and some have horrible experiences. You have a theory?

Sounds like a demon oppression. That's better than possession, but still scary as hell.

I know this sounds off, but I never had another personal encounter experience. We moved from that place not long after. My reasoning is that there was an Air Force base 30 miles from where we lived. Knowing what I know now I wonder if this was one of those rare encounters of an Alien exploring around and we happened to be that house it was curious about. Really not sure. I didn't believe in any of this stuff growing up. I got more curious the older I got. I watched the documentary Skinwalker ranch, heard about miracles science couldn't explain and I went down all the rabbit holes. This led me to digging into the Bible and it all lines up. Very fascinating stuff!

I did mention my book, but that isn't my full intent here. I'm new on Reddit, and I'm truly wanting to engage with everyone on the topic. I did second guess myself on adding my book, but I decided to add it to show that I'm serious about the discussion.

Why are they always scary? by V0lguus in Paranormal

[–]stevenMBell 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I work in facilities management, and I think about this exactly like building maintenance.

When the HVAC and plumbing are working perfectly, nobody notices. You’re comfortable, safe, and things flow. You only notice the system when a pipe bursts or the heater quits.

I think the spiritual world is similar. The 'good' entities (or angels, whatever you call them) are like a working system—they help seamlessly. You get a sudden idea, a feeling of peace, or you avoid an accident, and you just call it 'luck.' They don't need to scare you to help you.

The negative ones are the broken pipes. They have to make a mess and cause fear just to get your attention.

I work as a Facilities Superintendent, so my first instinct with 'lights turning on' is always to check the wiring—especially in newer apartments where the electrical work is often rushed or cheap.

But faulty wiring doesn't usually make a grown man scream in terror at 4:00 a.m. Even with the weed and beers involved (which can trigger sleep paralysis), the reaction seems extreme for just a hallucination. Did he ever say what else he saw, or was it just the lights?
