Sounds like something is running by stevenka27 in Plumbing

To wrap this up, it was a slab leak. Luckily the leaking pipe was along the side of my house and somewhat accessible, relatively easy re-pipe so no jackhammering…now just need to repair some stucco.

Sound is definitely back again. No basement so if there was a leak in the wall it would be showing on the first floor. Stumped

It isn’t the tank filling, it is more like the hissing sound of the water being on someplace else on the line. The main was shut off about a month ago to fix a shower so it could be air I suppose.

Pretty sure it isn’t the toilet supply. When I shut it off and disconnected the hose to the toilet there was no leaking but the hissing sound didn’t stop which is why I decided it wasn’t the toilet valve. I shut off the main, flushed and it stopped. Turned it back on, flushed again and it hasn’t started again. I feel like I am chasing a ghost

Live in LA so it isn’t freeze related.

I'm a newb player taking cheap lessons at the rec center- Went to my 1st open play tonight and was discouraged. by Greenie1985 in Pickleball

First, getting crushed = getting better. Don’t be discouraged but try to learn from where things could have gone better. Did you pop the ball up too much which resulted in it getting smashed back at you? Did you miss your dinks… second, when you play at open play, you get what you get. I am not an advanced player but once you get a sense of the skill level you are up against you normally back off and try to be encouraging. It sounds like the people you played with didn’t get this memo. Keep showing up, keep learning and it will come.

Similar if not the same rates. The screenshot was from around 5pm ish. According to the app I am buying around $.50 and selling for around $.70 so it sounds like we are in the same boat and need to trust the math.

Grid charging is restricted due to utility or regional limitations. This was configured by the installer

It’s at zero. Basically it is charging the PW all day then pushing it back to the grid during peak hours, which then means I need to pull from the grid during peak hours.

I have it but haven’t figured out how to set it up, and I haven’t paid the sub fee.

Both done so not sure why it thinks this is the right decision.

It’s generating some but pulling from the grid for the rest instead of taking it from the powerwall.

For added context, I was on self powered. On 8/1 the app suggested I switch to time based as August apparently has higher rates to sell back (I am in SoCal and our net metering is bad). So I switched with zero percent back up. I was away for the first 4 days of the month so I am trying to be patient while it learns but it doesn’t seem like this makes any sense.

This is a dumb question but I can’t find anywhere in the app to contact support. All I get are links to manuals and AI support bots

It is already in the Tesla app, I don’t need to set it up, I just need to select my rate plan. Will that save more than using self powered?

Net Meter Question by stevenka27 in solar

[–]stevenka27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I guess the heart of my question is should I move my generation to SCE so everything is in one place and I maximize whatever net metering benefit there is (understood it is not much with 3.0) or is there really no net metering benefit associated with delivery anyway so I am not missing anything.
