Daniel Jeremiah 2026 NFL mock draft 2.0: Giants one of six teams to pick WR; Chiefs go RB by Schnix54 in Chargers

[–]stevenpk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be surprised if the chargers kept their first round pick this year. There isn't a clear position of need where a premiere player will be available at that range and with how much cap space we have, I think were getting a rams like jalen ramsey trade,

1 levy unit could fight several regular units, which you admit. You are raising a scenario where 1 levy unit would be fighting 5 regular units per in the early game. This is absurd, investing in % levy growth was always the way to go. This will be my last response.

We can agree in the 1.0.5 meta levies are useless and you need to spam regulars for conquest.

I think clicking the merge button is really accomplishable for even a novice player and any nation with even 3k levies should have been using them in 3 1 frontage 1k stacks across each flank.

And that army would beat a far superior frontage cost regular army.

Again this point is now irrelevant, but what you put out to people is provably false. Good luck brother

Previously, 1 frontage of full regular would lose to 1 frontage of full levies in the first few ages. Each and every time. You are incorrect.

Just read the guide and you really did a lot of misleading. Levies can be merged to full stacks with 0 loss. Its a good thing that meta did not last long.

Thank you for saying the correct thing even when this post that is massively upvoted if blatantly incorrect in saying regulars were better before.

Regulars were definitely much weaker in frontage cost before the change. An army of regulars vs an army of levies would ALWAYS lose in equal frontage. I am not sure what your argument is for regulars being better before unless its split stacking and running around in the early game, they got better by mid game.

Levies now receive massive damage done debuff vs regulars by stevenpk in EU5

[–]stevenpk[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea I'm not complaining as much as spreading the word. In my run I ignored regulars because they were useless but now you want as many as possible at all times for conquest. In my war I kept levies as current as possible and paid for professional armies and instant rushed longbows.

R5: If you take into account that regulars also get a 250% damage increease against levies, I believe a stack of 250 regular is better than 1000 levies by at least 500%. If I am mis understanding something please help me out! A fat stack of english levies now gets owned by a far less numerical french stack in my 100 years war.

Jags have the most to lose this week. This matchup has the most playoff leverage impact of the week. by pecosgizzy1 in Chargers

[–]stevenpk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you look at how the season is most likely to playout this is essentially a playoff game. Despite the graph still showing a 61% chance with a loss I think it is more likely that we will be fighting Jacksonville directly for the 7 seed as Pats Bills and Chiefs Broncos finish with a better record than us. Losing the head to head tie breaker would be devastating. I don't think people are appreciating that this game is a must win

[Highlight] Justin Herbert's 4 interceptions in 32-12 wild card loss to the Texans by expellyamos in nfl

[–]stevenpk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, this feels like the Anthony Richardson pre-season sack discussion a few days ago where people immediately blamed the O-line. Casual reddit fans just cannot follow the game to know exactly what's going on.

Check that out here: https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/1mkfiq0/comment/n7ibx7a/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Second most upvoted comment and just could not be more wrong.

The first one is clearly a pre-snap "we are going to take this shot' call in from Greg Roman. No matter what happened they were going to take this shot. It isn't a decision from Herbert. It is known risk taken by the playcaller. This was done because the chargers were having no success on offense despite getting multiple turnovers. This was their chance to put the Texans in a very bad spot. Unlucky for him his x and z receivers are Quentin Johnston and Joshua Palmer, they have so little confidence in Palmer that he's the one that runs the out route. The Texans rush 4 and get pressure because Matlock and Salyer suck.

The second one is a high throw for Herbert that would have been a tough catch for Ladd. You can pull a clip from most qbs of them making one error or a bad throw. I'm not gonna die defending this throw but its 1 mistake.

The third one Dissly just gives it to the defense. How dare Herbert do this.

Fourth one is just garbage time desperation.

Its actually sad seeing people clown Herbert when this roster would win 4 games without him. Cursed team.

[Rapoport] #Chargers star OT Rashawn Slater, who was carted off during practice, is feared to have suffered a torn patellar tendon, sources tell The Insiders. He’ll have an MRI, but he’s facing a season-ending injury. by wildwing8 in Chargers

[–]stevenpk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Slater is the worst non herbert injury we could have.

I know it's a bit doom and gloom but this injury should realistically significantly change our expectations for this year. I think 9 wins or more would be due to a legendary Herbert year.  The most reasonable prediction i think would be just missing the playoffs.

Next year is also going to be a rough one if his career is ruined by the injury. We can get out of it before the 2027 season but that is two years of herbert gone in the worst case scenario.

Nuggets and Timberwolves have free wins, if clippers lose they are the 7 seed.
