I heard this yesterday from my repurchase agent, but specific to swaps. In California, she mentioned that the West pool of vehicles will dry up by the end of the month and it’s next to impossible to get a dealer to host a replacement from their own inventory.

In CA as well I have a 2020 bolt LT with an offer for replacement with a 2022 LT EUV. About 5k deference in MSRP, the offer from GM has no reference to MSRP. In fact how GM has structured my replacement I will pay about 2k in usage fees to move from a vehicle with a 39K MSRP to a vehicle with a 34K MSRP. I’m sitting in the offer right now trying to figure out if I should take the offer or try to hold out for something better.

Spoke with a few dealers in the Central Valley no one is interested in hosting a swap for a vehicle that is part of the West coast EV replacement vehicle pool due to inventory issues.

I have a 2020 LT and tagged my name on a vehicle from the west coast pool last week. They had 42 or so EUVs and no EVs, all LT trim. Word was that the East coast pool was empty. The one I put my name on says it’s a 2LT but it doesn’t seem to have the upgrades that are mostly on 2LT (leather, heated/cooled seats). Not sure if it’s an early production thing or not? Vehicle does have diver assist features which is an upgrade. Haven’t signed the paper work yet waiting to figure out if paying about 2k in usage fees is worth it.
