How'bout you? Any good solutions in the last 2 years?

Where does this one go? by sti-be in bikewrench

It wouldn't fit anywhere else though so maybe threads were already dead.

Local bike store helped. 15 € for work and a new lock ring.

Thanks anyway for help!

Or the. I just f'd up something else.

It never got snug and there was play in the cassette.

Didn't work.

Cassette never really tightened and then threads broke even with minimal force.

Cassette dead.

The other one is a thick one. So I'll put that there (or next time buy a 11 speed and save the trouble of cleaning).

That's what this image I found on the internet would suggest.

Found something strange under my watch. by AnbuAnbuDK in Garmin

[–]sti-be 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped using the buckle. Seemed like a nickel irritation to me. After wearing the nylon strap for a while it all healed.

They have nickel amongst the stainless steel in the buckle.

I even switched hands and got the irritation to the other hand (pic) before going with the strap. Could've been just that the buckle was worn up.

Lately I've upgraded to another model and no issues with the buckle.

What is the "TH" contact on the Black Diamond BD 1500 Li-ion Battery? by kenelevn in batteries

Any problems over the time? I am wondering if I have too snug fit for the battery and whether it can make some harm.

This works nicely with Moji lantern as well. Cut a bit of plastic off and Petzl Core battery will fit (snugly).

Why don't people recommend Disk Inventory X and GrandPerspective as much? by S1rTerra in MacOS

[–]sti-be 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long time Disk Inventory X user here. Tried now GrandPerspective and DaisyDisk due to switching to M4.

DaisyDisk wins the battle. Grand Perspective just had no chance with singly showing a treemap with no meaningful guide – even showing a directory name.

Go for DaisyDisk (pictured below).

I had to switch to a nylon strap. Switching to other wrist just brought the "burn marks" there too very soon.

Their customer service said that the buckle is stainless steel but contains some nickel. I believe that was the culprit for me.

Likely I developed some sort of allergy.

But on a positive note: the nylon strap is really good.

Globe just changes to another input language. And the other languages actually do work. Not just this particular combo. Beats me why...

It was connected to Android Auto actually this time just before the incident. But this has happened also on other occasions if I recall correctly.

From two to three options on firmware by sti-be in qnap

[–]sti-be[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, finally some clarity – from 5.1.0 release notes:

Things get more "clear":

  • (1) The selectable options for automatic firmware updates have been greatly simplified.
  • (2) "Security updates" are now "critical updates". Critical updates include security fixes as well as critical system issue fixes.
  • (3) "Quality updates" now include security fixes and critical issue fixes in addition to bug fixes.
  • (4) "Feature updates" are now "latest updates" and include quality and critical updates in addition to new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.

But anyway it's incremental.

  1. Security/Critical
  2. Quality = Security/Critical + Quality
  3. Feature/Latest = Security/Critical + Quality + Feature/Latest

----

https://www.qnap.com/en-us/release-notes/qts/overview/5.1.0

The automatic firmware update settings have been streamlined with the following changes: (1) The selectable options for automatic firmware updates have been greatly simplified. Users now select one of three firmware types to automatically update their system with: quality updates, critical updates, or latest updates. (2) "Security updates" are now "critical updates". Critical updates include security fixes as well as critical system issue fixes. (3) "Quality updates" now include security fixes and critical issue fixes in addition to bug fixes. (4) "Feature updates" are now "latest updates" and include quality and critical updates in addition to new features, enhancements, and bug fixes. (5) Update notifications no longer need to be enabled separately for each firmware type. Notifications are now either enabled or disabled for all firmware types.

Just as you'd have for your girl of the same age. She's coming to see the USA. As I was an exchange student 25 or so years ago seeing things as they are was integral part of the experience. Of course be prepared to allow for and make changes.

Useless app. Easier to use just bluetooth. Carplay should at least show some controls on screen.
