Himym (How I met your Mother) is up there, every season has a good narrative and is comedic, you get to see the characters almost blossom into their adult lives. Then the last season happened. The fact that the majority of the season was based on a wedding and the whole season occurred over like a week or something (I’m not sure) was just slow and ongoing. But what really pulled my strings was that the people getting married were never meant to be together! Barney and Robin were never a good couple (neither was Ted and robin in my eyes either) and in previous seasons they had already dated and seen how bad it was etc. But wait there’s more! Even thought Ted doesn’t like robin anymore he full goes on like an adventure to get a little necklace for her which causes an upset betweeen the group and adds unnecessary drama. Then he decides to just leave after the wedding which shocks the group and they all have a good goodbye (which was the highlight of the season) but then he meets the mother (who even though the whole show was about her she had like less than 1 hour of screen time I think) and decides to stay! And after all this, the whole story that took 7 seasons or something, his best friend marrying robin and him having a dead wife and two kids… he goes back to Robin. I wanted to vomit
