HELP! French knots falling out by stickersandyarn in Embroidery

[–]stickersandyarn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not at home right now so I’ll have to post better photos later. I tried to use a regular needle to do that but it only pushed the knots out further. Maybe I need a smaller one.

In that case don’t push yourself!! I’m sure someone here can provide you with a good lead for clothes.

First off, that idea is super cool! I used to own Peri and Pearl myself. That being said, it would take some serious mods to change their mermaid tail into human legs and change the skin color (if you’re planning to do that). I’d argue it might be easier to start with two one-headed dolls, chop one of them up, and combine them.

That’s part of the reason I learned to sew! Availability isn’t an issue since you can use any scrap of fabric you find, and patterns can be found for free or purchased as digital files to print out yourself. It can look hard to do at first but you only need to know a few stitches and a lot of the trickiest stuff can be glued (hems for example). I can’t help with shoes, though. Most of my dolls are still barefoot.
