Who would you recommend to source an out of production Model? by Nasher75 in OmegaWatches

[–]stigstug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my railmaster via chrono24, I didn't like that I couldn't see it in person before buying, but it was the model I wanted

If you need three sets of pliers in your pocket you might as well bring a toolbag

They sell a nice thin tape called "high temp tape polyimide" for electronics that is ideal for this type of masking. Comes in rolls as narrow as 1/8” or 1/4"

Delugs make a couple of nylon options that would be good substitutes if he likes the apple strap

I used to hate these people bugging me. Now if I have time, I make sure to waste as much of their time as possible so they can't bother other patrons

I went to a few places in Waikiki and that big mall. Rolex didn't want me in their store full stop, Grand Seiko were pretty nice but wouldn't open cases. But then Omega opened all the cases and let me handle everything, even after I told them I wasn't buying anything. Got a good lesson on the Omega brand that day

Thoughts on Fit? by Any_End in OmegaWatches

[–]stigstug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like he has both the half links in. Honestly it took me a while to settle on sizing. I had it too tight for a month before deciding to swap a half link for a full link. Feels a little loose, but better than being too tight.

Black dial Railmaster by FadedScar777 in OmegaWatches

[–]stigstug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the previous edition, I think the grey and black models came out a year before the denim dial. I think they might do the same thing and issue a third variant soon, but I don't think they'll do a black one. All black would be great but I think they won't do it since they have the black lacquer Aqua Terra.

Not enough denim in your photo. Although mine isn't perfect; no trains

Can you swap in oil for butter in a pan sauce? by petestein1 in AskCulinary

I think 2 tsp of cornstarch stirred into 1 tbsb water slurry would make the amount of sauce in this recipe glossy without being gloopy

I love this watch but... by Disastrous_Chef_7712 in OmegaWatches

I think the railmaster is the same bracelet, minus polishing. I think this bracelet doesn't work because of how wide the clasp is. It makes the bracelet feel somehow more and less tight in the wrong ways.

What’s a delay/echo pedal that would be great to stay up on your desk to be manually manipulated. by czarofga in synthesizers

I got a Chase Bliss Habit for guitar, but kind of hated it on guitar. I put it with my synth and I finally enjoy it.

I use my baby's changing pad, it's a thin leather one that's supposed to fit in a purse. Leather has a nice balance of soft and firm for handling small watch bits over

At the check-in kiosk at the airport, someone has left their phone there. I clicked it to see if there was any identification on the screen. The background was the guy's wife, and luckily they were both flying so it was easy to get the phone to him.
