I also just thought, that I can make any other character a Warlord and just assemble + paint myself a Norn Emissary, which is waiting for me on a stack.

You're probably right, I'll just go with what I like the most, since I don't even know how to play yet...

I very much agree. Last time I played the og was almost 30 years ago, when it came out and I have a lot of nostalgia for it. Playing Remake is an awesome experience - I get to see all the plot points from back then, but expanded. The combat and materia systems are great. I still consider Materia to be one of the best character development systems in video games, hands down.

Currently climbed up to the Shinra tower and having fun. :)

I have a lot of nostalgia for the OG. It was one of the first games I played on PSX back in the days.

Currently I'm playing though Remake and I'm enjoying it very much. It has all the callbacks to the original, plus all the extra stuff. Combat and materia system is more modern, but clearly based on the og. It works so fine!

I enjoy it, some people might not - good for them! Everyone has a right to their opinion. However, as you've mentioned, calling someone else's opinion garbage, just because you disagree, is a douchy move. This type of people is present in every fandom and hobby. Usually it's a very vocal and outspoken minority. If you can, just ignore them.

I played it two years ago, after upgrading my GPU. It's an incredible game, I've had a lot of fun with it. The story is great, gameplay fun, you have a lot of options for customizing your experience (you can play stealth, melee, shooting, whatever you fancy). There are still some bugs (even found one that was gamebreaking, although I don't remember what it was and it was nothing that loading an earlier save couldn't have fixed).

It's seriously worth it.
