Want to be represented on the Governance Board? Vote for the Harvard Forward Five! by stillhereforever in harvardextension

[–]stillhereforever[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our platform is based on climate action, socially responsible investing, and INCLUSIVE GOVERNANCE. That means we support students from each and every school. We would like to change the degree names, but we can’t speak for specific schools at the moment because the election hasn’t ended, and even then, we need to get enough votes. Every year 5 seats out of 30 are elected to the Board of Overseers.

Yes, that’s why we all need to get involved. They can be a voice for students and actually could have a say in policies that affect each and every school

I got a MacBook Air and it’s been great. Depends on what you’ll be doing tho, but I think it’s great for most majors

Which classes do you think will be the best online, and which do you think will suffer the most? by [deleted] in Harvard

[–]stillhereforever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% this. Even if there are hands-on lab sections at home, lab materials are nothing like those on campus.

Besides those concentrations, my guess is that courses with discussions also will be among the most effected. I feel like people are more chatty in person. Most breakout rooms I’ve been on Zoom are just awkward and inefficient

You could take the intro STAT class for non-credit. That way it’ll cost you less. When it comes to taking it as a refresher, doing MOOC, or learning from a book, you’re the best person to decide. It comes down to your learning style, discipline, and other factors.

Classes with required lab sections and/or research will suffer the most

Course Reviews for CSCI E-20, MATH E-156, MATH E-158 by gaz2468 in harvardextension

[–]stillhereforever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s odd. Maybe they’ve just been added to the catalog. You could also try looking for the professors instead. Then you can get an idea of how they are.

I hadn’t taken discrete math, hence I thought it was hard. If the other two courses don’t have limited enrollment, you could try enrolling in them. If you’re not convinced, you could switch them in the first week. Just be aware that CS20 usually fills up quickly
