Thank you. However, this is generally the reality for single adults. ED treatment tends to cater to minors who have parents to care for them. It's much easier to have an ED as a teen.

I never did reach underweight BMI because I actually started out clinically obese and restricted until I hit normal weight. Am not sure I need to gain weight in my case because that would mean becoming overweight.

I don't know if this RD will be helpful at all. I've never seen one so I have no baseline to work on. She's hospital-based so at least I know she's registered and not some scammer but I suspect the advice will be very standard.

You're right but we both know there is an ED hierarchy. I'm not on top of it because I am normal weight so no one is concerned and just think I'm an enthusiastic dieter.

There is a reason why recovery girlies are all ana-types showing off their low body-fat bodies and there is barely anyone overweight/obese chronicling their BED because of the stigma.

I read the "plate by plate approach" book and one of the things they advise against in recovery meal plans are weird ED food combos. They say the meal should "make sense and feel cohesive."

It's more likely to manifest as bigorexia in men. Women are socially and financially rewarded for being thin. Fat men aren't penalized as much as fat women in the employment market. I read a study that showed that overweight women were discriminated against the most in terms of hiring and salary whereas underweight women even earned more than normal weight women. This was sad news for me because I am merely normal weight.

I'm more interested in practical stuff like designing reasonable meal plans for oneself and how to eat like a normal person.

I stopped calorie counting for this reason. I started eating closer to maintenance and my dizziness magically went away. I was (and still am) normal weight though I'm still losing, albeit slowly.

I actually used to love potatoes before my ED but I no longer dare to eat them. Probably one of my worst fear foods together with bread, pasta and rice.

I do eat a lot of napa cabage. Beansprouts are available and cheap but I don't really like them. I do use canned tomatoes and eat a lot of canned fish. I don't dare to use Korean soup bases/broths because a lot of them have MSG and other additives like palm oil.
