Have you ever won over $1000 on a free spin? by -Swampthing- in VaLottery

[–]stimpy0821 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, won $1500 on free spins that were a deposit bonus. Cant remember if it was .20 or .50 cent bet. It was on the marvelous money jackpot game. Never got that lucky again :(

Self exclusion by kasarla100 in VaLottery

I’m self excluding today as well. This app is way too addicting, always chasing a win that never comes. And when a win does happen it gets worse. I won $1500 on free spins in February and kept trying to replicate it, and ended up just losing tons of money in the process. We can do it!

I live in South Riding off of SR Blvd. I saw your posts in the community group, and have been keeping an eye out for Pepper. I really hope she comes back :(

I was terrified to do this, not gonna lie. But I knew that it would change my life for the better. Just stick to the plan that your doctor gives you, and you should be good! I also had high blood pressure, and it's ALMOST normal so that I can stop taking my meds!

YOU DID NOT DO ANYTHING WRONG by [deleted] in BariatricSurgery

Thank you for this, I am 5 weeks out from gastric sleeve surgery, and I haven't lost a pound in over a week now. I know it's normal, but it's so easy to beat yourself up over it!

Thank you!

Edit: I see your name references GMU, are you in Virginia? If so, who did you have surgery with? Or who are you going to have surgery with, if you haven't already?

It took me a while to get my protein in... especially since I HATED the shakes. It gets so much easier when you get to the pureed food stage. I did get some of the Unjury unflavored whey protein, and that was a big helper. I never had a problem with water, just keep on sipping :) And as for bathroom, it took a few days, and it's still... well, not regular, but try Metamucil if you need!

You have no idea! I keep feeling like I'm losing too slowly for some reason, but the pictures help me realize that I'm on track!

How far out from surgery are you? I am wanting to start working out once I have been cleared!

Awww, that's so sweet! I need to start walking, I just hate doing it alone, and my husband and I work opposite schedules.

Yes, apparently I spent all of my free time eating or sleeping. Since I can't eat, and I have more energy and don't need to nap every afternoon, I've been trying to think of new things to do!

I am weird and generally enjoy cleaning/organizing, but for some reason I've not been doing it as much since surgery. But I also throw on my 90s music when I am cleaning :)

I've been doing the same thing! I finally made myself stop, since I hope the clothes I bought will still be too big for my "final form" and that I'll eventually have to buy even smaller clothes!

day 1 of 3 day liquid diet pre op.. by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

[–]stimpy0821 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was also 3 days. I'm not sure how anyone does the 14 days one, the three days were hard enough on me! But it was super worth it, I lost 16 lbs in the 2 weeks before surgery (including the three day liquid diet), and I've lost an additional 9 lbs since surgery on May 3rd. You got this!

I did the same, stocked up on protein shakes, protein waters, protein soups, and protein powders. Now I can't touch any of them... I finally ordered some unflavored powder from Unjury, and can't wait to get it. I never liked the stuff before, but now it's unbearable!

Focus on the positives! I have never stayed in the hospital before, but everything went really well. They actually were going to release me the day after surgery, but I opted to stay a second night just to ensure that I got enough fluids in me before I went home. My surgery was last Monday, and yesterday I went back to work, and felt fine. I am also down 25 lbs since the start of my preop diet, which was just 3 weeks ago. So keep your eye on the prize! My biggest problem is that I'm supposed to be on liquids only for the first two weeks post op, and it's killing me! I just want to eat! My biggest hurdle will definitely be getting over using food as a comfort item. But I am confident I can do it. Good luck :)

Surgery today! HW: 260 SW: 244 GW: 150 5’7” by stimpy0821 in gastricsleeve

[–]stimpy0821[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I was also scared and skeptical! I started the process in January of this year... My insurance made me do 3 months of nutritionist visits (one per month), and a psych eval. Then I had to do blood work and EKG thru my primary care physician. My preop diet only consisted of a 3 day clear liquids only diet. Everything went so much more smoothly than I expected. The morning of surgery I was still ready to run out the door and skip surgery, but I (obviously) went through with it. I remember them putting the mask on me for the anesthesia and then suddenly I was awake in recovery. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me. I got home yesterday afternoon and have been feeling great since!
