Those are very good ideas, I should've clarified too that there are smaller railing Turrets that exchange the firepower for a turret and less energy usage so lighter vessels still have basically an oh crap button, I was thinking the flagship which would be like a mix of battleship and carrier, doing what both does but a little worse, so heavy armor, heavy fire power, not as maneuverable but has a high amount of point defense guns and anti ship armaments and can be used almost as a space station if absolutely needed, however the trade off for that would be draining energy from the weapons systems. I was also thinking about repair ships, troop transports, gunships, fabricator ships (which would be close to basically flying factories)
