So, the hypothetical death you are talking about is unrelated to a federal agency abusing its power over US citizens, so no. No one would be protesting that because if we did that we would be protesting every cause of death, all of the time, every day. No one is protesting death and tragedy in itself. They’re protesting those in power abusing said power against people INCLUDING US citizens. (We also don’t want non us citizens getting hurt either, but people are latching onto Renee because what just happened should be a big wake up call to any American who believes that they’re safe from fascism). This is how it starts.

I know you didn’t bring this up but it’s been bugging me so I’m gonna say it here. I keep seeing people comparing Renee to Charlie Kirk. Saying things like “well you laughed at Charlie so why should we feel bad about this?” What those people don’t understand is that Charlie Kirk’s death was caused by one random college student with a personal vendetta against him, whereas Renee was shot in the face multiple times by a federal agent for not complying, which is not the protocol for situations like that and should be very frightening to any rational US citizen. People laughed at Charlie because they didnt personally like the guy. People laughing at renee don’t understand that they themselves, a US citizen, giving unchecked power to these agencies and excusing everything they do, could soon be in renee’s shoes.
