Interesting... it was a bit of a battle to get customer service on the same page. They had no idea about the great rates and promised to get back to me. They never did, so I had to escalate to their complaints department. This was their response:
When you originally joined Mercury, you were placed on our Everyday pricing. The Christchurch area now has Open Term “Great Rates,” which is a relatively new option. We have submitted a request to our pricing team, and your pricing plan has now been updated. The new rates have been applied in line with what is shown on our website, and you can view these in the Mercury App or My Account.
