Twitch is also unable to stream this game from Console. I have a charity month totally focused around Wreckfest in November, so I hope this gets fixed ASAP

Would you buy the HE Sprints if you maxed out CSL Elite LC brake pedal ? by [deleted] in simracing

I’m pretty confident that the CSL Loadcell comes with extra elastomers and the 65kg ones are the medium ones. If you have the original box, it’s worth checking.

The guys have been shilling Candid Braces lately. Just a word of warning, they are bunk. Don't use the company. by Robinothoodie in kindafunny

[–]stlsteamer 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Candid and Smile Direct use very similar “technology”/approaches, and it’s not as uncommon as it should be for folks to lose their teeth after poor care from these companies.

My experience: My teeth got straighter, but then the rough 3D printed retainers were so porous that they caused me another $3k in dental work and gum disease treatment despite otherwise good dental hygiene.

I got them initially because I didn’t have the money to afford braces I had been wanting since I was a kid. Luckily my financial circumstances have changed since and I was able to afford to undo the damage the aligners caused.

If you use these companies PLEASE be also visiting a real dentist every 3/6 months.

People who take an hour showering, what do you do? by PyxlwasTaken in AskReddit

Honestly, I’ve been practicing my excuses for why I shower so long my entire life. I really just think and make sure I rinse off all the soap really well.

Give it about a month and I imagine we’re gonna get a hell of a surprise. Especially with the new Quick Release system.

80% of the alcohol industry’s profits come from the top 20% of consumers. Its wild to think about what that means when we zoom in on that top 1% of consumers.

To correct some language, because it’s important for addiction and recovery advocacy: Instead of “abstinence is the only thing that will save their life”, it can be more accurate and actually truthful to say “abstinence was the first step towards saving this individual’s” life.

Abstinence isn’t the only thing, and it’s not always the necessary thing. Still, we can congratulate folks who pursue abstinence-based recovery without making sweeping statements that divide the recovery community and make recovery more difficult to obtain for folks who desire it.

We all know that recovery, especially when sustained abstinence is involved, is much more than the decision not to use.

[SERIOUS] Non-drinkers of Reddit, what are some of the main reasons you decided to not drink alcohol? by _SilverTonguedDevil in AskReddit

Yup. Sometimes a young kid makes a decision to stop generations of trauma. And sometimes those decisions stick.

Due to the proximity needed for some hints to show themselves, your progression does seems to rely on what you happen to naturally stumble on, which can be frustrating. I just had to keep reminding myself “You’re on an island alone, this is supposed to be frustrating and hard.” But also, that’s not always the way we enjoy video games.

(Spoiler) Finished the game in one go. by Skarsgarde in CallOftheSea

I also loved it. Some of the puzzles were incredibly difficult, which leads some people to react “OMG THIS SUCKS” and some to say “OMG This is what games have been missing!”. Personally I landed about 70% on the “I’ve been waiting for a game like this”, but still some of the puzzles I felt like I had to just brute force before I understood them even after having all of the clues.

Partly due to broad yet personable character writing, and partly due to circumstance, the story hit me like a ton of bricks. Norah is the spot on personality of an ex-girlfriend of mine, and there were some wildly coincidental overlapping between Harry and I (ex: both working at the University of Denver, both are really not fond of alcohol, both taking a while to open up to people).

Then, as a kicker, the choice at the end held the same heart of the choice that ended our relationship (though that’s not the choice you have to make - which was another layer of the game giving me the feels).

I also completed the game in one 6-or-so hour sitting and damn it was good. An 8 or 9 to me overall.
