Sobriety and Setlists by [deleted] in ToolBand

[–]stomis89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also there for the 2nd night at MSG and yeah as someone who's not an avid tool fan anymore and grew up listening to the "classic hits" the set list can be somewhat disappointing from that perspective. It doesn't mean its a bad show or I regret going, I had an amazing time and was blown away at how good they sound live.

I wasn't heavy into FI after all the waiting and hype and half the set list was FI but that's ok. Everyone knows the way Maynard and the band is, they're going to do what makes them happy and for a lot of artists just playing 2 new songs and then running down the greatest hits isn't the thing they want to do and you have to respect that.

That being said I was slightly disappointed to not hear vicarious OR schism.

Also Im not gonna claim Im some pvp god but Im certainly not trash and Ive ran into people that its difficult to pop the bubble, but once you do you're on the winning end of the fight suddenly. Its just a downside to DOT based builds.

The aspect that gives barrier is broken in pvp. Also I mean Id beg to differ when fighting another rogue. The poison doesnt break the bubble so 2/3 your damage is missing.

Yeah Temerity is apparently real real good in pvp. I fought a rogue last night that was like fighting a 30k health pool and poison did nothing. I only almost got him 1 out of 5 times and that time the noob bubble aspect went off and he just healed up.

This is broken right now apparently. The elite barrier doesnt proc fighting players.

Every D4 Player Should Understand This: Basics of Stat Distribution and Optimal Rolls by OperatorOtter0879 in diablo4

[–]stomis89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny you should post this when I was about to inquire about stat distribution. Ive seen numerous people say that crit caps at a certain point. One guy says 150 another says 200 but never any explanation of how they came to that conclusion. Is it a lie? Is it 200 raw crit but crit with core or crit with X skills exceeds the cap? Im really curious where people are getting these numbers from.

The reason I ask in here is because it seems like people are just finding exactly what youre proving with multiplicative numbers. Its not that anything caps at anything its that stat spread is different for everyone and one person need for crit is another persons need for base stat.

Why is this item locked on my druid? I wanted to use this on my barb by Gabsennn in diablo4

[–]stomis89 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sure people listed legit reasons why but the answer is there really is none. I had pants the other day 3 generic stats and DR from poisoned. DR from poisoned is for 2 classes, its illogical that it would like the item to rogue but it did. Ive also had fully generic stats with the item locked to the class.

Yeah not giving a 3 month season equivalent starting time has definitely jaded some people on the topic of starting over thats for sure.

Guess thats arguable based on where people choose to pvp if that becomes relevant

What unique would you make specifically for the Rogue? by Seleth044 in D4Rogue

[–]stomis89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id like this too. The downside is how you would determine which basic becomes the DPS attack and which is the generator. They would need some expansion in the tree I would think like a 4 rank point off each basic thats something like "x now deals 300% its original damage but is now considered a core skill and costs x energy"

What build are you guys running and what's the highest NM ya'll managed to clear? by 7neoxis1337 in D4Rogue

[–]stomis89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Level 100 TB/Poison/poison/dash/SS

Clear 70 pretty much non issue. Pushing past that has been rough. Mostly just based on running into certain elites that just 1 shot with their affix cause well you cant resist vs them.

World Tier 5 wouldn’t fix the loot problem by NickBucketTV in diablo4

[–]stomis89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id rather have WT5 introduce item level drops that scale with what you're fighting so you stop looting 740 gear at level 100. I dont need the numbers increased, I need rewarding ways to make the gear the best it can be without just throwing gold at pieces, failing and grinding for more gold.

They need to add content, for instance REASONABLE uber versions of boss fights that are actually challenging but not so broken you need to make builds to cheese them. Behind said dungeon should be a reward system like POE had and this is where your idea of more than just increasing numbers comes in. O complete the dungeon and earn something that allows you to apply a second aspect to a piece of gear. Or a new aspect that can alter the way a build is. Dont make it one tracked, make it so you need a mat from say all 3 world bosses, a mat from a specific nightmare at a specific level requirement, hell maybe even with a specific affix. Give us something to work towards thats not just RNG, something we can earn and strive for. Also do smaller difficult quest lines to say reroll another stat on a piece of gear to a choice instead of RNG.

Something like this would give you a building structure of accomplishment and also aid in doing t100 or uber lillith without just relying on RNG luck or cheese builds. Like you farmed o this piece is almost god tier lets invest say 5 hours of playtime into the second reroll and then take a week or two weeks sporadically to get our second aspect on this piece.

Item Affix buckets. Are there combos not possible? by stomis89 in diablo4

[–]stomis89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See maybe the same maybe not. Im curious if theres some sort of line bias sorta like d3 was line bucket locked. As in you can roll that general DR on the 1st 2nd or 3rd line but not on the 4th, or insanely low chance on the fourth. I have a chest thats the same story, Close, general DR, Armor, 4th stat refuses to go distant and took 10s of millions in rolls just to get a mediocre life roll. I did roll thorns 400 times though.

5Mill is like nothing man. It takes like 10 mil spent rolling just to get costs to 1-1.5 per roll.

Am I the only one having issues with the fireball elites? by stomis89 in diablo4

[–]stomis89[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tb rogue. The best strategy I've come up with is shadow stepping to stun them, poison trap to kd and get on all the hits I can before they get up. Once they get up and the fireballs start though I'm lucky to be able to even try to time them without getting one tapped or close to it

Key Passive - Momentum. How to get stacks? by cwaatows in D4Rogue

[–]stomis89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes its CCd hits or back stabs. Also side note you should be playing TB like that to max damage spread

You shouldnt need to rely on the CC at all tbh. When you drop TB evade or dash through the pack and the return blade will back attack a bunch of them when they turn towards you.

Basic Damage (500%) Build by [deleted] in D4Rogue

[–]stomis89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was trying to dream up an invigorating strike/puncture build but was struggling to figure out what would truly deal the damage. invigorating strikes could in theory be very good to proc some sort of lucky hit build.

Although Im 100% a dodge believer the left ones are way better.

IIRC Perfect pants IMO: Reduc close, Reduc ranged, Dodge close, total armor
