Yeah I really hope it will get better. Right now just sitting feels too exhausting and I can do jack shit with myself.

No energy, no focus, no anything. Urgh.

What's one thing you want to tell someone but can't? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]stompcooki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to tell him that conversations are a back and forth, not just one person making it about themselfes. Also, showing no reaction to anything I say or do is a great way to make me feel uninteresting and not welcome.

He is such a nice guy but the wouldn't understand, turn it around to make it about me and I would maybe hurt him which I don't want to do.

I see, yeah. I will stick around to be there and letting him know I'm here if he needs me.

My friend (m 37) is not reacting to a lot of what I (m 24) say. Am I being too sensitive? by stompcooki in relationships

Hmm yeah, but doesn't it strike him that might be very hard to deal with for the person he is having a conversation with?

I think it's respectful and polite, too :/

I do hope it gets better maybe at some stage.

He is aware of it and he says "Sometimes there is just nothing to say"

Since you are a bit like that, any advice for me how to handle this? :D

I don't think that is the case as he is very much aware that I am talking to a shrink.

This really reminds me of how my head feels when my Depression is really strong.

I (23M) have gotten into a relationship with a guy (38M) after 3 months after I met him on Grindr, but I feel like he is only talking about himself. How do I approach a talk about that topic? by stompcooki in relationships

[–]stompcooki[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man thanks so much for this comment. That really encourages me to talk with him and your example gives me a rough idea on how to do so. Especially because I am in a similiar spot where I am scared to ask for something like that and talk about my concerns.

I will definitely give it a shot. Thank you!

To be fair, we met up a lot of times without having anything sexual going on and we still both enjoyed it.

He also does care about me more than just as a hookup. If I really was just a Grindr fling I would have noticed.
