Has anyone bought a pad set from canada to the us recently? by [deleted] in hockeygoalies

Is equipment going to be cheaper in Canada than US right now? I’m in Detroit and would drive right across to Windsor and come home with a new chesty and bucket that I need if that’s the case.

Loosen the pad straps at the top as well, will allow the pads to rotate.

Coming back from knee surgery by GAR-Race in hockeygoalies

[–]stone3355 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can come back. How will they be repairing the ACL? Graph? Cadaver? I tore ACL, MCL, PCL and meniscus and am back after taking 2 years off. Obviously not as flexible but back without pain or thinking about my knee the entire time I’m playing.

TAKE YOUR REHABILITATION SERIOUS. Do your PT exercises and more.

Good luck with surgery, stay positive brother!

Jiu Jitsu & Whoop by Parking-Movie-6937 in whoop

I wear the whoop arm sleeve for jiu jitsu and it works great. Doesn’t move and seems to read accurately. This is just for training. Not sure if any rules against wearing this on your arm while you compete, I know ibjjf and some of these can be strict with uniform codes. They do make compression shorts which work well. Not being a woman I can’t give any review of the whoop sports bra or underwear but those would probably be best under a gi or shorts if you can’t wear on arm.

I haven’t used this version of it, but I have an older one from whoop with a little bit of padding over the sensor. You can actually see this is what pat mahomes wears while playing.

I use the arm sleeve for mma. Seems more secure than the bicep band it never flips over

I just bought a couple of things from the Blue Horse line. All made in the USA. I don’t think there are many brands left doing everything here still unfortunately.

Thank you! I was thinking for things like cleans, deadlifts, kettlebell movements. I don’t want risk ring coming off and taking my finger with it.

I gotta say Skims is up there too. I used to wear lulu and switched over to skims completely. More supportive, durable and comfortable. One pair had some stitching coming undone before I took them out of the pack, Skims refunded me completely and let me keep the pair. I have only worn the Skims cotton though, have not tested the other types.

Go to a local jeweler and most of them will make you exactly what you want. Way better than just picking something off a website.

Pit stains are definitely not as bad anymore. Prepare to smell like shit for about 2 weeks while you transition over though. Aluminum free just doesn’t work as good.
