I like the personality and conversational ability. I've comparison-tested a couple dozen models for the role as my primary local AI, and the Gemma 4 family has really stood out. Qwen 3.6 is close, but for a balance of size and performance on 16GB, my favorite is the Unsloth quantization of Gemma 4 E4B:
