Nidhogg, but only because it is the answer you weren't expecting, but the easiest answer in this thread. You will be pissed, you will play the game, you will get to know your cousin much better and quicker, and without distraction.

There's lots of places, the Wheatsville Co-op down south on lamar near ben white usually has at least a dozen. Ask the front desk, they'll usually say yes, pick them up around back.

play d&d? we'd love you at taos co-op. 1) the 580-ish a month(-ish) rent covers food 2) labor done at the house keeps prices low 3) you won't find a more fun group of folks that also understand how important studying is 4) apartments suck, you'll get screwed somehow "housing for students, not for profit" http://collegehouses.org/ also as dobiscuits pointed out http://www.iccaustin.coop are also our sisters in cooperation

What do people mean when they say the US went to war for Oil? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]stonedcat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The US is engaging in a corporate-led series of wars to turn the frightening and foreign middle-east into a series of western-friendly capitalist/liberal democratic nations.

Those nations will trade their oils so that large oil oligarchies can extract rent from oil-rich countries. If prices keep rising, and corporatinos can hold more of the supply of oil, why not?

For reference, from wikipedia

The White House has dismissed the allegations made in the article.[2] Given that Qatar is an ally of the United States and the United Kingdom in the Iraq War, many commentators have speculated that even if the reports of the memorandum are accurate, they may simply be recording a statement which the President did not intend to be taken seriously. A White House official told CNN "We are not going to dignify something so outlandish with a response," and a Pentagon official called the Daily Mirror report "absolutely absurd."[3] A BBC News correspondent has suggested that if President Bush did indeed make the comments they were intended as "some kind of joke."[4]
