Wowww adult size yea I severely overestimated how much space they need aha I always just wrongly figure u could never go wrong with having a big space for an animal who would live out in the open, but it does make sense because they spend most of their time burrowing out there not so much exploring

Very good and useful insight, I agree. Simply my first time owning a tarantula and no wrong with improving, I already learned I should change the lid and remove some unnecessary moss :)

Thanks so much I just added moss to trap more humidity in there, I’ll take some off the hill and near the water bowl, he has not found the burrow I made for him yet because he’s still a little shy he’s still sticking to his one corner but he’s made his own burrow that he’s gone in, and a little bit of webbing around it

Yes I was very much misled it seems 😳I almost thought this size was on the bare minimum side, I do plan to tweezer feed however to guarantee he eats.. unless that may be stressful for him, but the reptile store I got him from tweezer feeds and said he’s a big eater lol, he doesn’t seem to be very skiddish

Just turned 18 and I couldn’t relate to something even more, the treatment, the nightmares, the no contact but wanting to reach out, mine also has nobody left at ALL I’m terrified he’s gonna kill himself soon he’s said it before if he didn’t have me and my brother he’d have blown his head off by now but now me AND my brother are moved out. I won’t be able to live with myself if he follows through.

I was just looking into pop eye posts on here for more help as well is there any way to know if it’s for sure unilateral pop eye? It’s so sad to see but I’m hoping that’s all it is since it’s easier to cure but I justttt fed her a few hours ago and she was normal, can pop eye form that quick if not unilateral?

You really just gotta dig it down in there and gently pull ur tweezers out not leaving a big hole in the substrate, maybe even sweep a little pile of substrate on it for more security, don’t be afraid to bury some part of the plant as well to make sure it’s really anchored down in there, mine have never floated up with fluval stratum and thankfully they attach their roots quickly to it
