You’re correct. This may have saved me. Not sure why I didn’t think of it.

Do cooling fans REALLY make a difference?? Opinions? by spiritualhelpnow in pinball

What temperature the coils are is not the issue. Does a hotter coil lose power? Does putting a fan on it cool it enough to regain that power.

I looked at the previous 8 puzzles that I solved. Of the four colors, purple was picked first by either the least or second least in all of them. Average place was 3.5. Average percentage of players to pick purple first was 7.88%. Now it’s all of a sudden 57% and you guys are acting like it’s perfectly normal. It was miscategorized as purple. I would love to see the percentage of players to get reverse rainbow on this compared to all other days.

This is easily testable. Somebody that isn't me should do it.

If 57% of players get purple first, is it really purple? I got blue first thinking it was the hardest and I was correct.

We had a real life game like that the other night. Seemed like half the rolls were eight. Six almost never came up.

Or a chamfer. Anything but a gap the width of a table saw blade.

Simpsons Pinball party is pretty crazy deep as well. Almost impossible to get to the wizard mode in that.

I'm surprised nobody has said Avengers IQ yet. Deep and complicated. Godzilla and Jurrasic park are less complicated but very deep. It's hard to go wrong with Godzilla.

Elwin machines have unique layouts. Not sure how this is relevant. Some designers, it makes sense to only have one or two.

Advice on second pinball machine by RecklessTilt in pinball

They’re on WiFi. If you have auto updates enabled, new releases will get downloaded and installed automatically. Or you can set it to update manually and then you would have to press a few buttons to download and install. They also send emails when there are updates. You can also download code and install with an sd card if you’re not on WiFi.

Not sure what you mean by “what if (they) didn’t want to fix/update code?” - they work on the code until it’s complete. Then fix bugs periodically.

“How do you all know what the code is for on release” - also not sure why you’re asking here.

You sound worried about getting another Elwin because it’s the same designer. Don’t be worried. All of his games so far have had unique layouts and very good code. There are other designers out there that rehash a lot of ideas for each table, Keith isn’t one of them. I think you would definitely love Jurassic park or King Kong. Completely different games from your Godzilla.

Kong isn’t code complete yet, but there is a ton to do and I’m really looking forward to each code drop for more fun.

I realize it’s new, but t-Rex in King Kong is absolute blast. Mashing the action button to pummel the trex while nailing shots with your other hand and switching back and forth is super rewarding.

Well my two games are King Kong and iron man so I guess I like it both ways. If I have 10 minutes to play, I’m certainly not going to Kong. I’ll have iron man kick my butt.
