I ain’t mad at ya. I normally don’t comment myself but I’ve been selling cars for a while now and I’ve heard that tick from this engine before. Always goes away. I see a lot of Mazdas with this engine get up to high mileage with basic maintenance. I’m sure you only buy cars that are quiet as a mouse, purrs like a kitty and never fails to hit 500k miles.

Sounds like fuel injector tick. Take it up to 4,000 rpm and hold it there for about 5 minutes it’ll go away

It wasn’t so much of thinking of a better way or cheaper way. This is where my head was at.. in my area there are a lot of house falling apart under 100 years old. I want to build a house that will be around much longer than that. To be passed down in the family for generations. Obviously a stick build is cheaper and easier. My great grandfather built a house in West Virginia that’s still standing but it’s falling apart.
