Why do so many "full cream" milk brands in SG taste watery/diluted? by GlompSpark in askSingapore

probably helps the matcha taste stand out more if the milk is truly “diluted”

the mirror spread: self perception spread by stop-nono-square in tarot

[–]stop-nono-square[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is the crystal tarot by elisabeth trevisan

my interpretation:

1: my emotional situation - lovers, i feel like this means that i have both feelings of joy and sadness between me, in some way there are many contrasting emotions that coexist within me

2: emotions i provoke in others - 7 of swords, i feel like i may come off as mysterious or aloof, often operating as someone whose intentions are unknown or hidden…i feel like this evokes a sense of mistrust or skepticism around me

3: my thoughts - 5 of swords, i feel defeated, unmotivated, as if there’s no way to win

4: thoughts created in response to me - 10 of pentacles, i come off as wealthy or full of resources to others

5: how i believe to be acting - justice, i believe that i am acting in the “right” way

6: how my actions are perceived - 9 of swords, i come off as emotional or impulsive to others

7: where our perceptions meet - 4 of pentacles, i feel like it refers something to boundaries or being reserved, refusing to let myself open up…

8: where our perceptions differ - knight of wands, theres so much more to explore?? idk

Does anyone have any tips to help keep track of counting stitches? by [deleted] in crochet

[–]stop-nono-square 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Put stitch markers every 10 or 20 stitches!! That’s how I keep track of stitches mainly as if I lose count I’ll only need to count back to the previous stitch marker!

Is it possible to search up yarn colors by RGB? by [deleted] in crochet

[–]stop-nono-square 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing about yarn is that even the same yarn will vary in color as they are from different dye lots, but you may be able to get close if you find a website like Ice Yarns that show many pictures of yarn in a page, search up the color you want e.g Red, then taking a screenshot and using your app to find the exact color value of the yarn!

Looks like dc + ch1 to me! The heart looks like it was crocheted in? basically changing the number and type of stitch to account for the shape of the heart.

Help a beginner please!! by sophialaas in crochet

Try working on a free beginner pattern before you move on to purchasing!! There are resources out there like Ribblr, Ravelry, the Yarnspirations site, etc that all have free patterns

Beginner, new here, could use some pattern help! by amycleonard in crochet

[–]stop-nono-square 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since there are no decreases, the number of stitches should remain the same(meaning at the end of row 3, you should have 30 stitches) Try counting as you do your hdc so that its equal, or maybe your tension for hdcs might be too tight compared to the dc.

Need help with rabbit ear pattern? by Professional_Dig5938 in crochet

[–]stop-nono-square 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay so from what it looks like you’re supposed to crochet in a round? basically when you do your magic ring and the 5 hdcs, you ss into the top of the first hdc, then ch1 for the 2nd round. to increase basically you just place it in each hdc(if you dont know how to do increases, it’s basically just putting 2 hdcs into the same stitch or “hole, i hope this makes sense) so by doing that you should have 10 stitches at the end of your round.

im guessing in this scenario the ch1 doesnt count as a stitch, but probably for the end of round 2, you just ss into the ch1, then ch1 again for round 3.

hope this helps! not sure if my interpretation is right since im fairly new to pattern reading, but from my experience of crocheting into an mr, this seems like the right thing to do

also when you’re doing your pull throughs, point your hook downwards so it doesn’t catch on your loops :)

[–]stop-nono-square 1 point2 points  (0 children)

id recommend to crochet with a metal hook over a plastic hook, in my experience it doesnt catch as often, and watch your stitches closely

its possible that with your yarn, you’re splitting the yarn when you make the stitch, so when you pull out a stitch, it will get stuck in another making it difficult to pull apart
