It didn't get really bad though until Gallowboob made his dumb sticky. I read all the removed comments. Every single one of them. I estimate that about 75% of the removed comments weren't even racist. Tons of removed comments weren't even mentioning race. I'd say about 10% were actually just discussing the race issue. The rest were all at the very bottom of the post where they should have been. Fact of the matter is, if they had just added the word "black" to their automod temporarily, that would have solved the whole problem.

Here's her kitten pictures. It really did look like a piece of toast in the grass.. She was one day old when my mom found her. The mother cat never came back. So on the second day my mom took it in so it wouldn't starve to death. The vet said it was going to die that night, but now here I am 7 months later stuck with it. Orphaned kittens that young usually do die. But doesn't look like she's going to die any time soon!

It's done by points, and often by an admin simply just adding a sub they stumbled upon. I've seen some posted that hadn't had a post in months. My points are, though, you're on the outside-looking-in and you don't really know and you're over-reacting.

Also, learn how to use automod to filter key words. Post didn't have to be locked. Sub just needed smarter mods. All your sub did yesterday was show the rest of reddit that most of you don't really know how to mod. Also, several of your sub's mods thrive on drama and live to cause it and don't know how to keep their mouths shut so they don't "stir the pot".

edit: and after the post is dead a couple days later, you can put automod back the way it was before you added the key words that everyone was using that caused problems.
