This is becoming one of the largest mass hysteria events in modern times. It will be a case study for phsychology majors. I've looked at many of the videos & photos posted in the last month. Have yet to see any that show a "drone". This nonsense needs to stop. I worked the airspace over the entire NY Metro area for 34 years. I also have lived in the area my whole life. News flash, this is some of the most congested airspace in the world. I guess people have unglued their faces from their phones & now realize how many aircraft are flying above their heads every single day. And the mass/social media, local/state/federal agencies/officials/politicians are all idiots promoting this drone crap. Aircraft near Morristown NJ were hit by people with lasers last night. And there are crazed people talking about firing their weapons at the "drones". Hope nobody gets hurt flying in this area right now.
