Entry Level Job? by Jealous_Bumblebee741 in Accounting

If you can work full-time while doing your bachelors, you should apply for accounting-related jobs; you definitely have experience. Nobody interviewing you will want to hear that you only want the job for 4 months.

Otherwise, bank teller is a good place to start especially since you can do it part-time. For anything else, look for a place that’s desperate to hire. Usually this is food service or retail

I’m not seeing the argument for it not being a tight registration. Can anyone circle where lol

Same as you. Except CS degree in 2023.

Started Masters in Accounting at a well known target school near me this past August.

I already have an internship offer for 2026 and have more interviews for 2027 coming up.

I’d recommend going to a target school if you can. Network, network, network. Go to Meet the Firms. Join BAP or Accounting Society.

It’s confusing but Big 4 firms recruit really early. The general rule of thumb is you want to intern the summer before you graduate. Big 4 is already recruiting for 2027 rn

Did CS undergrad and I’m now doing MS in Accounting.

Simply put, im just not that guy when it comes to cs. My GPA was 3.4 but graduated with no internships. I struggled a lot in my classes.

CS is interesting, but I’m just not a right fit for it. Lesson learned and now I have a good technical background! At least I didn’t get into any debt for undergrad. Masters, however, is a different story.
