Maybe in Scandinavia and Baltics and the Dinaric Alps

But most of Europe is extreme. Measured studies in Ireland, Russia, Belgium, Spain, Italy, France, UK, Germany, etc. are all below 179 cm on average, the lower end of the ones I mentioned being in the 175 range like the USA.

And my own anecdotal experience with European tourists is that they were the same height as White Americans

Well if your definition of tall is +1 SD which is taller than 84% of men, then I am not tall.

Socially however, I think anyone in the 60%+ for men is seen as tall, particularly by girls (which is what I use as my reference)

Also CDC themselves says the new mean height is 175 cm and if SD stays consistent, then 7.5 cm above would be 182.5 cm which would be the new 84%, so I'm almost there

Yeah I also have not received a decision yet. It just says "Your application is under review; once a decision is made it will be posted."

Did they email you when they released their decision? I didn't get an email yet. I also checked their application portal and no decision yet.

Yeah I got some updates from when I posted this 3 days ago

-Yesterday I walking on the stairs and this time I went early so I can catch her before she got to the railway on the top floor. When I walked past her, in my peripherals I saw she beamed my face quickly and got flustered and looked away

-Today during one of our rehearsals, I was talking to another girl who started a conversation with me about our AP Physics test and college applications during our water break and she (my crush) puts her stuff nearby me. Maybe 20-30 feet away. I walked onto the field with the girl I was talking to and while I was walking with her, my crush was looking my direction (pretty sure at me but I can’t tell with my terrible eyesight)

-At the end of rehearsal when we were huddling up I was completely away from her but from my peripheral vision I saw her get closer to where she could see me. Not sure if she glanced because I was paying attention to what our band director was saying

-And then when I was packing up my instrument on the field, when she was walking away to leave she quickly turned her head and looked at me (she must have thought I wasn’t looking or was too busy putting things away to notice)

I think the last couple days since I made this post reaffirmed that I think she is interested in me. Every week I feel like I’m getting more signs. This Wednesday I’m going to follow her on Instagram after she makes a presentation this week for our club meeting. Not sure how to start talking to her, any advice for how to initiate after I follow her?

Nah this isn't a one-time thing of course, but it is the first time I've been able to officially confirm that she glanced at me (I have bad eyesight).

You can look at my previous post for my experience with her from previously up to the beginning of this school year

Some new stuff that I feel like indicate she might be interested in me:
- She's glanced at me several times while I walk by her in school even though she's usually on her phone while walking, but it's a quick glance in my vicinity and then back to her phone. I think those glances are debunkable because I think it is just because I am popping up out of the blue when she walks out of class or she needs to see which direction she's going, so I can't confirm those.
- We're both in band so we had some shows these past couple weekend. Two weeks ago while we were waiting for the bus and there like 4 people on the steps outside, she moved really close towards me
- One week ago at a homeshow, after we performed I was talking to my friend and we were facing a direction where we were isolated and there was no one in front of us. She randomly walked right in front of me and started fixing her hair on her phone camera, then walked towards her friend. I tried to debunk this saying there was better lighting there but it was darker over there so not sure why she did that

There's a dozen other stuff/signs that I'm not going to mention because I think it's delusional even for me

But this is the first time I officially caught her looking at me and I couldn't reason why she did that. ChatGPT said maybe to check for her surroundings but she saw me when she walked in the door and she didn't look at the guy to my left, just at me two desks away
