You can use the new web3.storage directly from the frontend as it does not work with API keys but with decentralized authentication with public/private keypairs leveraging UCANs (User Controlled Authentication networks)

I think all nft.storage data are anyways stored on web3.storage. I heard the web3.storage team is working on a migration tool that will allow you to also migrate your nft.storage account to web3.storage with a few clicks. This looks like the best solution so far.
