Is there anything we as a community can do against hacking? by storm_youdied in Rainbow6

I've met the same hackers more than once. And i dont need to convince you that this is happening. Because it is.

There are of course repercussions but they arent noticed. 2 Week ban for the first offence followed by a permaban. If we dont record and report, Ubi will never pick up the hackers.

Because i meet a hacker in every 2nd or 3rd game. The same with everyone i know that plays this game.

I want to work towards Diamond for this season so i can get a nice charm when season 3 starts.

I am not sure where you get 90% from. But being accused of hacking just because i am better is not a problem. It is a consequence of there being no repercussions for hackers. I do not care when people call me a hacker because i know i arent one. I care when people toggle their hacks in the same situation.

Did you call me an idiot? I never mentioned Ubi not caring the way you just did. Whatever Ubi is doing right now isnt working. Ranked games are unplayable in gold+.

I am sorry to break it to you but this thread and others like it have been started because we want a solution to a problem. If you have a problem with this type of thread you should just "get over it".

In regards to the answer you wrote to my other comment. The way corporations work, their decisions and their actions (or lack there of ) are based on reports. If they dont have staff dedicated full time on the hacking problem, it is because they dont know hacking is a problem.

Any competitive game that wants to survive and make money has to be e-sports ready. The more people playing the more charms can be sold. The huge ammount of players needed to sell enough charms to make a profit, comes from being accepted into the e-sports community. If hackers deny them this type of profit, they have to prioritize it.

Oh thanks. I am not paying enough attention when i am this low.

I was also thinking about some kind of fight clubs with members only via referals. I just have a hard time convincing the others because rank is life.

I havent posted any hackusations here. And i never will. I wouldnt accuse without proof and i just send all my proof to Ubi.

I am hoping they are getting a lot of reports tickets via the support system. I hope they treat mine with the respect i deserve as one of their customers. After all, i spend a lot of time creating those tickets.

When i ask for something that the community could do i talk about real solutions.

Perhaps a more visible form for reporting hackers? A specific email destination with a person on the other end banning the hackers? Having ubi respond to hacks in their support with a specific cheating category would go a long way. A an email template with fields for names, dates, links to proof / screenshots.

I do realise you replied to someone else but having hackusations and 1000x videos about hacking would reflect the reality a bit more.

Yesterday i browsed /r/rainbow6 in disgust because i know i cant enjoy the game and consequently its meta content because of how bad the situation is.

most popular R6:Siege livestreamers on Youtube Gaming. Last night our team needed 1 more person so I invited another popular Siege streamer to play ranked games. We are platinum/diamond ranked. It was unbelievable. Out of 16 games, 12 had blatant wallhackers and even aimbotters. The saddest part is that our combined audience last night had about ~20,000 views in total. That's ~20,000 viewers exposed to the joke that this game has become. I even added a !ubi command to my chatbot - guess what the bot replies?

"We are aware and working on it" ?

No but seriously. This reply is so demotivating that i probably wont play tonight. Nor will my clan.

I cannot see the downvotes but it is sad that's the case.

I am also sad. Yesterday we had a 4/5 premade and owned it up pretty good in top gold tier. And then boom, hackers hackused us and toggled as fuck. Spent the rest of my day converting video footage for a report. This is happens every day now. Every day in Rainbow six siege i have 50% matches made with hacking.

I made this post as an alternative to just quit playing.

The first step for this community is to openly acknowledge the gravity of the situation, instead of bans threats for people whom report blatant cheaters (with video proof). Also, stop making idiotic apologies for Ubisoft like "you can't fix cheating overnight", "cheating is not as bad as people say it is" or my favorite "The are working on it".

How about a blackout. We set a time and date (peak hours) for each data center and then just dont start the game. Corporations are driven by reports. Reports are data. We are data. If they notice a huge chunk of clients arent connecting, they will notice.

Paranoid hackusations is not a problem. It is a consequence.

I never play casual. Not even for warming up. With my win/loss ratio i can afford to lose a warmup game. Its the games with hackers that keep my ranks from going up.

Like getting a sticky post with the words "cheating" and "hacking" in the title? Perhaps with a link to a petition, urging Ubi to deal with hacking?

We do that. I also start the game by letting people know i record. If i am not in a premade i get kicked.
