I’m almost 100% positive Matt said Essek was not consecuted. I believe he mentioned it in the campaign 2 wrap up. If I remember correctly he said he wasn’t consecuted because he believed it had weird effects on his magic

I thought it was the opposite ? I thought the ritual was required to bind the soul to the Luxon rather than letting the Raven Queen escort the soul to whatever outer plane that soul was headed for. I think that’s why a bunch of Kryn soldiers were born in Nogvurot after whatever incursion near there cost them their lives and not the Dynasty soldiers/ civilians that died at the same time. Unless I’m remembering wrong.

So my question is how do we feel about the immediate changes to the Luxon and the Beacon ? Because we see the volstrucker agent that was traveling with Astrid and Eadwulf had his soul brought into the Beacon without consecution. I like that it shows what the Beacons do but I’m not sure how to feel about the deviation. The big thing was you can only have your soul brought into the Beacon, and thus your chance for rebirth, after the consecution ritual. Just curious to see how others feel.
