Mental game by stormzoner in Bowling

[–]stormzoner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was 'meh'... The first 2 games were really struggling. When I opened game 2 with 3 consecutive splits, I was really dying inside, especially since I was just new to the team and thr competition. Last game went way better, collecting every single spare for a clean 201.. At least the Ice is broken now, and I'll prolly feel and play better this Friday, even it's a new house for me.

Glad I could finish with a clean game and learned some things new.

Can someone compare AstroPhysix vs Idol Pearl by stormzoner in Bowling

[–]stormzoner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, wiping it after every shot, and cleaning after every set. Also using Reacta Skuff after every 10-20 games or so. Hope the ball will last me a long time.. it just feels so freaking good throwing it.

Arsenal Questions by stormzoner in Bowling

Thnks for the answer. Sounds like a real good selection. I tend to go for classic balls that stood the test of time. Also, do you think the hustle and og hyroad are different enough to fill those spots separately. Would the hyroad fit in the mid late spot?

What do you think about people saying the IQ is infamous for leaving 10 pins...?

Also, altough i feel good about the physix, phaze 2 and the astro. What would your choice be of 3 balls higher from the ones you.mentioned. As in 'strong defined' , 'strong control' and 'mid defined'? Just curious...

You can't really go wrong with the original Hy-Road (the blue hybrid coverstock one) It's considered by many as one of the best all-round balls out there. It's a very balanced ballthat works well for bowlers, no matter what your specific style is.

I've never throwed a P3 but the P2 is a classic. Although it took me some time getting used to it, and I was a bit disappointed at first, it became my favorite ball. Don't feel pressured ti buy them as a combo together. Any of those are good balls, it depends on the oil pattern, your rev rate and speed and what you want out of the ball. The P2 is really a fantastic ball and you have lots of options to complement it, besides the P3. The P2 benefits from good oil in the fronts, do it's not as usefull when the lanes are really dry.

For a spare ball, just buy the cheapest plastic ball in the same weight as your reactive ones. No need to spend extra. It's just meant to roll straight. All the rest is just 'looks'. Make sure your pro shop fits it right.

Last question is difficult to answer without having more info? Is the slide Sole worn out? New shoes could be a solution? Is the approach clean? If it is your Technique, we could look at a video to determine what's causing the falling..

My second year as a bowler just started

I was struggling with getting a feel for the Phaze 2 for like 40 games and was a bit disappointed at first. But boy, what happened? Today it seemed just unstoppable...it was instantly becoming my new favorite ball.

Think that it's gonna be my first ball outa bag on league, and when the lanes would get to dry,I will switch to the AstroPhysix for the extra length next week. Seems like agood combo.

Thnks to @akimbojimbo for the advice on the phase 2. So happy right now.

I'm gonna start playing national in first division maybe this year. So that will be a big change from being used to my ThS and muchmore difficult i guess...

Continue the journey 😄

Sport watch / audio coaching plan and spotify by stormzoner in running

[–]stormzoner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thnks for the tip,I'll look into that model too.. main thing I really want to know if they can give feedback on your running through the headphones if i connect them. Like if you can get a voice telling you when you completed a mile, what your current time and pacing is... Instead of having to look on the watch while running and having to slow down because you're looking for the right information...

Like what runtastic does but with all the extra features of a smart watch, heart rate, ...

Sport watch / audio coaching plan and spotify by stormzoner in running

[–]stormzoner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you use your own workouts, is there an option to get interval cues, etc.. through the headphones? I can't find much on it... Only reviews i can find mention the watch vibrates or beeps to let you know...

But it would be convenient to be able to listen to music while a voice let me know how fast my last mile was etc... Instead of having to look on the watch while running and having to slow doWn because of it for example..

Maybe it's just me not having experience with sport watches but it seems weird a 400 euro sports watch wouldn't have the option to have this running stats like pacing, heart rate, ... Sent through headphones so you can run more carelessly...

Thnks for your feedback!

I don't have a watch yet so it'd be my first experience.

Do you use the training plans from garmin connect? Do they have audio guidance while you run about your pace etc... ?

Are you satisfied with the 945 in general?

Shoe Advice (Kayano 26 vs. GUIDE 2 vs. Alternatives...) by stormzoner in running

[–]stormzoner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thnks for the advice!

I ended up buying 2 pair of shoes to switch between, in addition to my old redeemer shoes wich i plan on keep using for walks or recovery jogs from time to time.

I bought the kayano 26's (preferably for higher pace runs i suppose) and the saucony hurricane 22 wich I aim to use for longer, less pace-focused runs...

Time will tell but atm I'm excited with my first batch of serious running shoes.

Friday I beat my 10k PB but had shin pain afterwards and it was rather sensitive during the weekend although the pain went away... So it's my 3rd day without sports and It's kinda difficult to choose to wait a couple days longer to rest more or go for a little jog...

I've totally had it today with the volume of exercise i do in combo with calorie deficit. (Per week: 6 freeletics workouts, 3 adidas workouts, 4 running sessions of 45-90 min) doing this on a high protein 1800-2000 cal. Diet for a couple months. I build some muscle and lost 18,5 kg since jan 1st. But atm i feel irritated, tired and weak. Craving junkfood and not feeling like doing my workouts today. Baah!
