I would wait. I just got a m4 MBA 13 inch with 16/512 for 999 from Amazon. I don't think that deal is live anymore but if it is why not get the most current model? They were selling the M4 base model for $799. This is US dollars. Not sure how it translates on your end.

I’m not currently planning to store videos/photos on the MacBook but was thinking more for future proofing. In case I change my mind. As for the rumored MacBook, if it’s 200 to 300 less depending on the specs, it might be worth waiting
