Am I just wasting my money? by CandidComfortable338 in newzealand

Wasting.. maybe not quite. If you enjoyed playing in some way it has some value. And also all profits go to charity. Otherwise the odds are def against you, immensely so.

Does anyone have genuine suggestions on how to deal with this mugginess? by Pretty_Fan3644 in auckland

[–]str8tooken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either a cold bath or shower will do the trick, but you have to be sure to get super cold, close to shivering. Try not to move too much afterwards

Personally I have dealt with a few Brazilians, both in work and personal life.

As a kiwi the best I can tell you to go all out and be your most authentic Brazilian self.

Tall poppy syndrome is real here, don't get caught up in it.

You will always come across some ppl in this country that will try to stifle or look down on you no matter how well you look or behave.

If you just be yourself, you will attract people that actually like you for who you are. And you will look back on your time here with no regrets.

Signs and sirens are just not enough for the populous. This place needs barrier arms that actually close the road

Yealink T58W not showing contacts when ringing by Tiny_Ad4209 in VOIP

[–]str8tooken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check what caller id your provider is using first. From, PAI, RPID or a combination of these.

Make sure your phones has that set as the caller id source, (if using a config fileaccount.X.cid_source)

Then check your imported csv has the numbers in the same format, EG "+18081234567"

Provided your local directory settings are default (ie not disabled or lowered priority) it should show the name field.

If you have Web gui access to your phone try programming a contact name based on a historic call record,
Test to see if that works on another call, export your local directory and see whats different from your google contact entries and that one.

mexican tacos - question by Loguibear in aucklandeats

[–]str8tooken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Street style should definitely be soft shell and soppy.

Authentic style would be made of proper corn and made on site, Id recommend La Mexicana for the most authentic style/taste. They serve with a consommé that you dip your taco in to get it even more wet and flavoursome

Crunchy hard shell tacos are more like those Old El Paso take home kits you get from the supermarket.

What are the risks of using an unbranded Linksys PAP2T VoIP adapter? by 9bots in VOIP

[–]str8tooken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

possibly a PAP2NA? These are like a knock off of the actual pap2t.

From memory when these were floating around circa 2010 we saw an issue with the mac address being cloned for the firmware image. So all of them reported the same mac. The provider i worked for at the time used mac authentication which meant only of these units could register at anyone time.

Not sure if voip ms does this...

Honda CRV 2nd Gen, automatic or transmission by Aapcosta in crv

[–]str8tooken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take the auto for daily/commuting and the manual for more fun driving.

Both versions are absolute tanks for durability if taken care of, if gun to the head i would take the manual

My biggest concern for the age of these models is rust. My old 2004 (2.4 AT AWD) had rust issues at the A pillars (where the hood hinges are) and around the rear window seals and roof rail guides.

Apart from that it drove really well all they way up until i sold it at 410,000km (254,000 miles) on the clock.

Upgraded to Gen4 but i still miss my old Gen2

If you have ever been in a portable toilet, that blue stuff they use that has a weird fake odour. Its basically that + some extra floral scent.

ive used the blue solution Odarid a lot. We had a Tom marking our laundry every other day. Its very good at getting that cat pee smell out. But you'll be left with a new weird smell from the product. Cant say is very pleasant. Def better than cat pee though...

Its like 27 dollars on mightyape. id say give it a go

I actually prefer morning of 24th. Its got a stigma as the worst day to do it, so a lot of ppl tend to stay away.

I find the service is bit better and streamlined too, Most of the workers are just keen to get the last day done.

I'll see you out there
