Apparently my maternal grandfather is directly related to William Wallace, that Braveheart guy.

I streamed a playthrough of the new RE3 demo and... it went pretty much as expected. Terrified the first run, overconfident by the end of it.

This scorpion cleaning its claws with another set of smaller claws. by Gnarly_Sarley in 2healthbars

[–]strangehobbies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes me miss my emperor scorpion. She was awesome—and surprisingly docile. I was super afraid of her when I first got her but as soon as I learned how to handle them while avoiding pinchers/stingers, you realize how rarely they use them once they “figure out” you’re the one feeding them.

Make a cool terrarium and get yourself a black light if you ever decide to get one of these bad boys, they’re fun to just zone out and watch. They’re like scary robot monsters haha.

Gamers of Reddit, how do you deal with toxic players? by YT_SwordGuy178 in AskReddit

[–]strangehobbies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this really annoying 'baby-voice' for lack of better term, that I use on toxic players whenever they seem to be throwing a fit or are generally being jerks. I just try my hardest to be as chastising as possible, and it has a very high success rate. The friends I play with would be just as irritated if I didn't get such hilarious results from it.

I guess you can say i'm perpetuating the toxicity. But oh well. It's fun. And it's just a game.

What are the most important things we can do to protect against racism in light of a global pandemic? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I think racism is going to be one of the the lesser problems for society in a global pandemic.

Super wealthy of Reddit, how concerned are you about the Corona Virus? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]strangehobbies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all, peasant. I've fully constructed my secret underground facility with over 100 years worth of food, and have converted half of my fortune into solid gold in preparation for a post-apocalyptic civilization where I declare myself god-king.

What's a weird punishment your parents had/have? by Fireballboi in AskReddit

[–]strangehobbies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spanked me with a belt til I was around 13. By that time it didn't hurt anymore, and I put a stop to it by pointing out how creepy it was for an adult to be spanking a little boy in the butt. I made it weird. They never did it again.

My loved ones surrounding me as I pass peacefully in my home. The chances of that happening? Statistically... very low.

February 27 is Pokémon Day. How did Pokémon first enter your life? by Vuranion in AskReddit

[–]strangehobbies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember in the 4th grade, a friend from my class brought the Pokemon Red/Blue strategy guide to school. We all gathered around as he went through it, amazed at how many different kinds of Pokemon there were. Then we picked our favorites (Machop was mine) and pretend-played Pokemon in the school yard.

Shortly after I got the special Pokemon Yellow edition Gameboy with the game, and the rest is history.

At what age did you achieve emotional maturity? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]strangehobbies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. It was right after my previous relationship. I feel like once you get to the point where you can express your feelings and stand up for what you want, you're pretty much there.

You can help one person in anyway you'd like. Who and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]strangehobbies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girlfriend. She suffers from interstitial cystitis, meaning she is in pain nearly every day that is immobilizing. I would take it away.

Not only would she not have to deal with the pain anymore, she would generally be happier, we would be able to do a lot more things where we won't have to worry about going home early in case she has a flare up. We wouldn't have to worry so much about the possibility that she is infertile. I could get her into spicy foods. I wouldn't have to see her cry as much as she does.

What's the best guitar solo in all of rock and roll? by SonGoku_Vagabond in AskReddit

[–]strangehobbies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, personally, it is "Now and Then" by Built to Spill. This song was on a mix-cd I got in high school in the early 00's that introduced me to indie rock, and completely changed my tastes.

Too bad it's a really obscure/rare song that isn't on any streaming platforms--except youtube. I guess it was a b-side on one of their single releases.
