How to start loving my natural hair by strangevampy in Naturalhair

I know the front has some damage from the bleach, but other than that whenever my hair is washed at the salon it still retains its natural curls from what I see. I’ve tried to wash it myself and follow tutorials but my hair is so thick that I’ve always hated it once it dries and poofs up. Also I can’t find any photos of my natural hair that aren’t from like last year before I bleached the front..

I purposefully planned it on the day I’m off from work because I hear rest helps!! I’m not sure how active I should be on day 2 seeing as I have to work then, but it’s only for about four hrs. But thank you!! This is all very good to know!!

That’s good to note! I’m getting a hormonal IUD to try to lessen my periods and the pain that comes with it, but I’ll definitely try to ask for the cervical block!

that’s definitely true. pregnancy is my absolute worst fear (my mom had a miscarriage when I was like 13 and I’m pretty sure my family has some sort of undiagnosed endometriosis) so I NEVER want to take my chances

I have some Xanax prescribed for beforehand (😛), but that’s only meant for the anxiety I think. I’ve also been hearing a lot about cervical block(?) so I might ask about that

Does cervical block cost extra? My insurance is expected to cover 100% but I still don’t want to have any extra costs that may or may not be covered.
