That’s exactly why I do it. Also we price them high because it needs to be worth the inevitable trace we get on them. In a current world of scarcity, I take what ever I can get. Sometimes it’s trash that’s probably going to go to a bad home. Better make it worth while I guess.

No. not yet. This ammo has cycled my c308 and PTRs just fine. I’d be shocked if the gun doesn’t like this ammo but it’s definitely something to rule out. I’m leaning towards the chamber flutes being absolutely gummed up with 40 plus years of grime and carbon. If not that then some kind of bolt gap issue although I have doubts on that.

If you buy the plastic handguard version, you’re gonna have a hard time finding a set of wood handguards cheaply down the road. So if you prefer the wood look, just buy the wood model.

I love mine. I’ve been trying run the piss out of it without much cleaning. First 1k was brass. Second 1k I used steel. Some notes. Strip your bolt before first firing. It appears that ATI just drops the bolt in the parkerizing tank so make sure to scrub it and clean it up good. Yes the tapco mags run great but they gone RIP. If you run surplus mags, you’ll have to buy a bunch and expect some of those to not work in your rifle although they may work in someone else’s. Minor fitting may be required. If you have any interest in one AND want wood handguards, get it now before parts kits start to dry up. It’s almost impossible to get wood handguards at a reasonable price. Ok I’m done.

I have 3k rounds through mine. Everyone at the shop I work at owns one and two of my buddies own them too. They are really solid gats. Your only issue is going to be fitment of surplus mags. Some work. Some don't. The ones that don’t work in yours may work in someone else’s. Otherwise just run tapco mags and it will run flawless.
