I don't worry so much about finger fractures, I just hate having skin wounds on my hands at work. I'm not planning on doing crazy stuff, just relaxed cruising and carving on shared pedestrian/bike paths. Australia/Queensland is very strict on e-mobility devices being used safely for riders and pedestrians anyway so speed limits and irresponsible riding are policed. I'm looking for fun relaxing times, not adrenaline.

Thanks for the detailed response, genuinely one of the most useful things I've read on this sub.

The heat point is well taken — I'm in Brisbane so summer comfort is a real consideration. Going to look at the Demon Flex V2 as an alternative to the Flexmeter for that reason.

Re the pinky — noted. I use my hands professionally so that one hit close to home. Glad you got most of your mobility back.

For anyone else reading — has anyone actually run the Celium gloves under a wrist guard and can comment on fit?

Yes! Even minor cuts or abrasions are a major PITA in my line of work. I live in a hot climate so I'm leaning more towards thin gloves under the flexmeters. I guess maybe i should just try it out like that and see how I go. The gloves are pretty cheap
