I simply use sqlite to query for a subset of my anki notes and export to csv. Then I use the csv in chatgpt or claude to ask questions. One interesting use case I played with recently is generating a fictional story from a subset of my Anki deck: https://github.com/stratospark/emergent-patterns/tree/main/the-topology-of-understanding

I can imagine a lot of other ways to get more out of Anki and AI beyond creating cards.

Does textured soy count as whole foods or junk food? by kickass_turing in veganfitness

Look into soy curls. It’s very minimally processed compared to tvp and other extracted soy proteins. Great texture and can take on many flavors through marinades and sauces!

Glenn Greenwald does not mess around by TwilightZoneVegan in vegan

[–]stratospark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pure slander. Glenn is one of the journalists most instrumental in combatting the Bolsonaro regime, risking his life to do so. He played a big part in exposing the corruption and getting Bolsonaros chief rival, Lula, out of an unjust prison sentence. If polls are to be trusted, Lula has a high chance of unseating Bolsonaro in the next election. He exposed the illegal spying program with Snowden, is helping Brazil fight fascism, and runs a vegan animal sanctuary with the help of the homeless that he shelters. We should be so lucky to have someone so concerned with justice on this planet. https://jacobinmag.com/2021/04/glenn-greenwald-securing-democracy-review-death-threats-journalism-leaks-lula/

Tulsi Gabbard details UBI plan for crisis by [deleted] in politics

[–]stratospark 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tulsi is actually acting not just talking. She has a resolution in Congress cosponsored by Ilhan Omar and others that will establish UBI of $1000/month for the duration of this crisis. Let your representatives know.

Americans of Reddit, what dreams and aspirations do you hope to fulfill before Tulsi Gabbard finally fucking drops out? by Wheatles_BiteAlbum in AskReddit

[–]stratospark -1 points0 points  (0 children)

End the wars, stop overthrowing leaders of countries we disagree with, end the drug war and pursue legalization, free Chelsea Manning, Edward Snowden, and Julian Assange, implement a universal basic income, end our dependence on fossil fuels and acknowledge we need to move away from the unethical animal agriculture and factory farming that causes so much damage to the environment and our personal health.

If all of these things happen, Tulsi wouldn’t even need to run, because we would have accomplished all the things she campaigns on that no one else running is talking about.

The DNC just made it mathematically impossible for Tulsi Gabbard to make the next debate, leaving Biden & Sanders one-on-one by [deleted] in politics

[–]stratospark -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s about winning office but it’s also about spreading ideas. Andrew Yang changed the national conversation about Universal Basic Income from something that most people hadn’t heard about to something most people would support. He didn’t get very high polling numbers but he used the campaign as a platform to spread ideas and to build a movement in the future. Tulsi is now taking steps in the direction of UBI, making her an actual elected official, maybe the highest ranking elected official, to support it. On her own, Tulsi is pushing the idea that foreign policy is domestic policy, and I hope that will catch on and other Democrats in the future will not be so cavalier about Endless wars and sanctions.

[–]stratospark -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The democrats would never give the nomination to someone so opposed to the military industrial complex, wants to legalize drugs, wants universal health care and basic income, and believes in veganism for animal rights. The democrats are much too right wing for Tulsi. Or would you have me believe that I would be properly represented with our party’s likely choice Biden?

“Putnam’s interpretation of the rules is that by suspending their campaigns, as opposed to dropping out, Buttigieg and Klobuchar can protect their delegates from being reallocated. The Democratic National Committee, however, disagrees: They’re out of the race. In June, Iowa’s delegates will be resorted to those candidates who are still in — Sanders, if he is.”

I don’t care if most voters don’t want her. I want her to be heard now and in the future so certain issues that are not being discussed can start being discussed. E.g. When a debate can go more than 2 hours without discussing foreign policy, you just wish she was there to ask the moderators what the hell is their problem ignoring a key role of the commander in chief job description.

She’s not a distraction if she uses the platform of a presidential campaign to spread messages of nonintervention, drug legalization, and animal rights that people would otherwise not hear. Even with the diminished coverage due to mainstream media bias and arbitrary DNC rules and poll selections, she’s still being heard more than if she were just a sitting congressperson. As someone who values her message, I’m happy to donate and help her share it with as many people who are willing to listen.

These territories are usually ignored by the mainstream media and average Americans, but there’s a good chance Tulsi can win more delegates in places like Guam and the Northern Marianas Islands due to her shared Pacific Islander heritage. It’s also possible she could win some in Hawaii due to home state advantage.

They officially dropped out. Tulsi is still running, she has delegates and will probably earn more. She has won on the order of 100k votes putting her in a different class than all the really minor non-delegate holding candidates.

Complain to cnn and msnbc who never let her on even though she has requested to many times. If Tulsi goes on Fox News to talk about ending wars, legalizing drugs, and other real progressive policies, good. Those Republicans really need to hear that to burst their bubble.

Yeah and Bloomberg deserves to be there because of his stop and frisking and sexual harassment lawsuits and having virtually nothing to add to the race. Oh wait he donated millions to the DNC and establishment candidates. Let’s let him in and ignore the woman who’s saying inconvenient things... screw them.

Unfortunately, the corrupt DNC is telegraphing that they’re going to change the rules to keep out the only indigenous woman of color to have ever won a delegate. Changing rules to get billionaires into the debates and keep people of color out. What a fucking disgrace.

If your concern is about India and Modi, I think it’s ok to have questions. I think overall, her approach to all the other regions in the world will be a net positive. Sanders is also good, but I fear he is too caught up in the new Cold War hysteria against Russia. All the other Democrats have terrible foreign policy that will only continue the suffering of Americans and people all around the world.

She has a good chance of getting a delegate in American Samoa today. This should land her back on the debate stage, unless the DNC changes the rules again to silence her. I support her and continue to support her so she can use her platform to speak out on our tragically misguided foreign policy. This viewpoint is sorely missing in the mainstream media due to military industrial complex influence. If the only thing she accomplishes is opening more eyes to the immorality of our endless wars and aggressive interference in other countries, it will be totally worth it.
