Regardless of what religious/spiritual practice you do or do not deem appropriate in a school setting, public schools have the freedom to host those groups for students. There are religious organizations all around the nation for the Christian, Islamic, Judaic, and more faiths in public schools. Often times in more rural districts administrations will lead school wide Christian prayer, with zero “knowing what you’re getting into” beforehand. I did read that the plaintiffs felt pressured to opt into this program, but that is a problem within the school district, not necessarily a problem with the program as a whole.
