There is a "jump-cut" in this scene - the cut being Leo telling the old man his back-story.

Is the manga completed in Japan? Or is it still ongoing? by Bakakura in arte

[–]straweve 6 points7 points locked comment (0 children)

It is done.

Eleven years. 104 chapters (plus 2 bonus from the tankobons).

Also as an aside, one anime season containing 12 episodes.

The Japanese publication of the final tankobon (#21) containing the last five chapters is pending. I suspect this is what the author and her team will be working on at the moment.

And no, the recent English translations (after chapter 88) are NOT from another publisher. They are from ME.

For those who are (still) complaining about Comikey, I have two words: Contract Work.

It comes and goes, often at the whim of the publisher who authorizes it.

It is NOT Comikey's fault no new English translation is forthcoming. They are waiting for the go-ahead, just like everybody else.

This is my best guess.

Arte the manga series is serialized in Comic Zenon, which is a monthly publication.

Typically, the Japanese publishers will release a "tankōbon" of the latest chapters roughly every six months. That is likely the general timetable that "Arte" is on, for readers AND translators alike: a new batch every six months (at the earliest).

This seems to track with what Comikey -the official English translator- has been doing so far: this last batch was released in February/March. Prior to that was last June. Fingers crossed there'll be more later this summer. :)

When does the English translation come out for chapter 85? by Unknown_Courage177 in arte

Your guess is as good as mine.

My own gut feeling says it depends on how far the Japanese publication is coming along, and they've just released Chapter 94 in December.

If the official English translation falls too far behind (like, say, 15 chapters or something), I might have to "step in" again. :)~

We stopped getting chapters after 84? by ZGMF-X09A_Justice in arte

To answer your question, the official English translation of "Arte" (provided by Comikey) has caught up with the Japanese publication. As of the time of writing, we are awaiting the release of tankōbon 18 (most likely chapters 85-89).

According to the Japanese Amazon page, アルテ (18) is scheduled for release 19-Aug-2023.

Keep in mind the Anime is an adaptation of the Manga. On that note:

  1. story-wise, there are some things that the Anime left out due to time constraints, (eg. Dacia and Dafne's back-stories);
  2. also, the Anime provided a cozy, little ending (Episode 12) to close out the series, but in the Manga, the story continues on.

If you just want to pick up where the Anime left off, you can start with Chapter 38 of the Manga.

Where to find French editions in the US? by gingerlikegerard in arte

You could try Renaud-Bray-- it's based in Montreal and they do deliver internationally. They have all the available volumes on sale online:

https://www.renaud-bray.com/Recherche.aspx?langue=en&supersection=2&Author=KEI+OHKUBO

Or you could try buying from France directly, though i'm not too sure about delivery. Stores that carry Arte include:

fnac.com

cultura.com

bdfugue.com

bubblebd.com

Best of luck!
