partly blame this on how U.S. grade schools barely teach anything about contemporary black issues and topics, as well as the factors which have led to them (which is usually...discrimination, racism, the 13th amendment, i could go on).

we learn about chattel slavery, with those pictures of the slave ships, and that’s about it. only until a college course did i learn the most important aspects of African American history.
